Sandpoint High School
October 2024
Dear Bulldog Students, Families, and Friends,
As we wrap up the first quarter, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks for your partnership and support. Itβs been a fantastic start to the school year, and we are grateful for the incredible dedication and hard work of our students, teachers, and families.
End of Quarter One and Upcoming Conferences
The first quarter officially ended last week. Grades will be posted and emailed by Monday, November 4th, so please review your student's progress. Itβs a great time for students to reflect on their goals and set new intentions for the remainder of the semester.
We are excited to invite you to our upcoming Parent-Student-Teacher Conferences on November 20th and 21st. Conferences are an excellent opportunity to connect with your childβs teachers, ask questions, and collaborate on strategies to support their academic growth. We will be sending out more detailed information as we get closer. We look forward to meeting with you!
Upcoming Schedule Change for Next School Year
We would like to announce a change to our daily schedule starting next school year as we will be moving to a six-period day. This shift is intended to provide students with greater consistency and focus by allowing them to concentrate on six classes each day rather than alternating block days. Our goal is to foster continuity in each subject and help students build a steady routine. Thank you to those parents who came out to meet with us and to those who filled out the input survey. If you havenβt had a chance to respond, we will still be collecting input through 11/8. Click HERE for the link.
Thank you again for all you do to support our school community. Together, we are building a positive, enriching environment which inspires learning for our students, and we couldnβt do it without you. As always, please donβt hesitate to reach out with any questions.
Warm regards,
Jacki Crossingham
Principal, Sandpoint High School
Hello, Bulldogs!
As the fall season wraps up, we want to take a moment to recognize the incredible achievements of our student-athletes and coaches. From the gridiron to the cross-country trails, our teams have brought home trophies and shown what it means to be Bulldogs. Our athletes continue to excel and embody the spirit of "winning on and off the field," showcasing both athletic prowess and strong character.
A Note on Parent Sportsmanship
We are so grateful for the energy and enthusiasm that our parents bring to every game, but we want to remind everyone that positive support can make all the difference. Letβs help our athletes be successful by cheering them on without targeting referees. Remember, our refs are a vital part of the game, and respecting their role is essential to keeping the spirit of sportsmanship alive for our teams.
Winter Sports are Here!
This week, we launch into winter sports with high expectations and excitement. Basketball, wrestling, and more are all set to kick off, and we canβt wait to see our Bulldogs in action. Come check out our newly refinished gym floor and experience the improved sound system, where the energy in the gym will be better than ever. With our new digital scoreboard sponsored by STCU, you might even catch a glimpse of your favorite student-athlete up there!
We look forward to seeing everyone in the gymβlet's make it a season to remember! Go Bulldogs!
Inspire: Winning on and off the field!

Mr. Martz had this to say about him:
Maverick is an awesome student. He comes in everyday with a positive attitude, and leaves everyday with a, "Thank you" or "See you later." On top of that, Maverick has been on top of his work and has been great about asking questions to be sure he is understanding concepts and directions. Overall , he's an outstanding student with a great attitude... keep it up

Pottery Classes have been working on completing small sculptures, learning Latin American culture and decorating the walls and classroom for our upcoming Parent Teacher Conferences.
Art 1 Classes have been working with color harmonies, learning how colors can go together in works of art. We just completed learning about shape and the art hall of SHS is plastered with evidence of the depth of knowledge these students have demonstrated.
Please come and show your support for these students' accomplishments at our 2nd Annual SHS Student Art Show in the commons during Parent Conferences Nov. 20th & 21st. This will be a fun night here at SHS with our Art Show, student musical performances, a coffee truck, and fun door prizes.
