Hello Gator Families
We have two more weeks before winter break! We are steadfast in the testing season. Our reading Iready has yielded great growth for the majority of our scholars. It's fantastic to hear about the positive progress with Iready reading, and it's clear that the dedication of our teachers to motivate and inspire scholars is making a significant impact.
As the testing season continues with Math Iready beginning Tuesday, December 10th, it's crucial to maintain a supportive and encouraging atmosphere. Remember, the support and encouragement you provide go a long way in helping your scholar navigate challenging situations.
Here is an additional way to encourage your scholar(s):
- Remind scholars that challenges are a part of learning, and the important thing is to approach each question with a positive mindset. Encourage them to take a deep breath, stay calm, and tackle each problem one step at a time.
Attendance Matters
We know it’s tempting to extend your vacation by a few days on either side of the holiday. Just a few missed days here and there, even if they’re excused absences, can add up to too much lost learning time and put your child behind in school. This is as true in kindergarten as it is in high school.
As a reminder, scholars with 45 or more days of excessive absences—whether excused or unexcused—may be eligible for retention or course failure.
