Esta semana, nuestros Pandas disfrutaron de la inolvidable visita de Kaelen Hernández, una dinámica jugadora de fútbol freestyle que abraza con orgullo su herencia guatemalteca y xinca. Kaelen cautivó a nuestros pandas con su conmovedora historia, sus acrobacias y su singular combinación de fútbol, ​​baile y música. Su visita no solo fue inspiradora, sino también una celebración de la creatividad, la cultura y la inclusión en el deporte. ¡Gracias, Kaelen, por mostrarles a nuestros Pandas el poder de la pasión y la perseverancia!

Un sincero agradecimiento a Raquel Rizo (madre de alumno de segundo grado) por organizar este increíble evento y traer a Kaelen a nuestra escuela. ¡Su esfuerzo hizo posible esta experiencia tan especial!

This week, our Pandas were treated to an unforgettable visit from Kaelen Hernandez, a dynamic freestyle footballer who proudly embraces her Guatemalan and Xinca heritage. Kaelen captivated our Pandas with her powerful story, acrobatics, and unique blend of soccer, dance, and music. Her visit was not only inspiring but also a celebration of creativity, culture, and inclusion in sports. Thank you, Kaelen, for showing our students the power of passion and perseverance!

A heartfelt thank you to Raquel Rizo (2nd grade parent) for organizing this incredible event and bringing Kaelen to our school, her efforts made this special experience possible!

Nos complace compartir que nuestra Panda, Edith, ha sido seleccionada como finalista del Programa Jr. Ranger 2025, una iniciativa nacional que premia a jóvenes líderes ambientales. ¡Edith se encuentra actualmente entre las 10 mejores del país! Esta oportunidad tiene un significado especial para Edith. Su compromiso con la protección del medio ambiente se fortaleció aún más después de que su familia se viera obligada a evacuar durante los devastadores incendios forestales de este año. Ahora, tiene la increíble oportunidad de aparecer en la revista Ranger Rick, ganar un premio de $20,000 y ser nombrada Jr. Ranger 2025. We are thrilled to share that our very own Panda, Edith, has been selected as a finalist in the 2025 Jr. Ranger Program, a national initiative that honors young environmental leaders. Edith is currently ranked in the top 10 nationwide! This opportunity holds special meaning for Edith. Her commitment to protecting the environment grew even stronger after her family was forced to evacuate during this year’s devastating wildfires. Now, she has the incredible chance to be featured in Ranger Rick magazine, earn a $20,000 award, and be named the 2025 Jr. Ranger.

Voting is now open, and we would be so grateful for the support of our school community. Let’s rally behind Edith and help her achieve this amazing honor!

¡El Día del Minero fue un éxito divertido y memorable! Nuestros Pandas de 4.º grado viajaron en el tiempo para experimentar la vida de un minero a través de actividades interactivas que dieron vida a la historia. Muchas gracias a nuestras increíbles Maestras de 4.º grado y a los padres dedicados por su tiempo, creatividad y esfuerzo para que este día fuera un éxito. ¡Su arduo trabajo brindó a nuestros estudiantes una experiencia de aprendizaje significativa y emocionante que no olvidarán!

Miner’s Day was a fun and memorable success! Our 4th grade Pandas stepped back in time to experience the life of a miner through engaging, hands-on activities that brought history to life. A big thank you to our amazing 4th grade Maestras and dedicated parents for your time, creativity, and effort in making this day a success. Your hard work gave our students a meaningful and exciting learning experience they won’t forget!

Al finalizar el año escolar, nuestros alumnos de 5.º grado celebraron con una última aventura inolvidable: ¡un día en Knott's Berry Farm! Fue la manera perfecta de concluir su etapa en la primaria antes de la culminación.

As the school year comes to a close, our 5th graders celebrated with one last unforgettable adventure, a day at Knott’s Berry Farm! It was the perfect way to wrap up their elementary school journey before culmination.
