May Newsletter
This month I will be visiting grades K-2 with counseling lessons.
Kindergarten
Kindergarten students will complete their Unit on the 3 Rs. This month students will learn about the “secret” 4th R, Resilience. We will read a Winnie the Pooh book, “Try, Try Again.” Students will show ways they can try, try again.
1st Grade
First graders will finish their unit on character traits with the book, “I Like Myself!” by Karen Beaumont. Students will then identify the qualities they like about themselves.
2nd Grade
Second grade will complete The Zones of Regulation unit. Students will finish building their toolboxes to help them with emotional regulation.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about counseling lessons or needs you or your child may have. I can be contacted by calling the front office or emailing me at stacykurthford@carrollk12.org.
