Welcome to our weekly update! We are thrilled to keep you informed about the happenings at our school, celebrations & achievements and upcoming events, ensuring you're an active part of your students educational journey. In each update, you'll find some quick highlights of the past week and a preview of what's to come. Our hope is to foster a strong sense of community and collaboration between the school and our cherished families. Most weeks will be brief, but at times there is important information or updates that help support us in your involvement in our little school. Thank you for taking the time to read it!

A Peek at the Week Ahead....
8/19: All Kindergarten students in attendance, Woodbury Book Fair begins
8/20: School Board Meeting 7:00 p.m.
8/22: Curriculum Night 5:30-7:00 p.m.
8/27: 2nd Grade Hoover Field Trip
9/2: NO SCHOOL, Labor Day
9/6: NO SCHOOL, Non-Attendance Day
9/20: School Improvement Day, 11:10 Dismissal-
First days of kindergarten! Our students were so brave! But Miss Lootens was right there beside them having her first days too! They all did great!

Curriculum Night: Thursday, August 22nd from 5:30-7:00 p.m.
Kindergarten Families:
- For families of Kindergarteners, last spring, we hosted our kindergarten orientation. The first week of school, we had a student/parent meet and greet on the first day of school. Therefore, we will not be hosting a curriculum night for our Kindergarten Students. Please feel free to come visit the book fair that evening if you'd like!
- Mrs. Rogowski & Mrs. Mrs. Sam are excited to host families in their rooms from 5:30-6:00 p.m.
- Mrs. Cryer & Ms. Bols are looking forward to meeting with second-grade families. from 6:00-6:30 p.m.
- Mrs. Davis & Mrs. Kathe cannot wait to host third-grade families from 6:30-7:00 p.m.

Free/Reduced Meals for the 2024-2025 School Year
Dear Sandwich School District 430 Parents and Guardians,
Families who wish to apply for free or reduced meals for the 2024-2025 school year can use this link to apply: https://www.freereducedlunch.com/sandwich430.
Only one application needs to be completed per household. If you recently received notification that you have already been approved for free or reduced meals for the 2024-2025 school year you do not need to complete an application.
