Husky Nation Highlights will be on hiatus until March 31, 2024 - the end of Spring Break

Help us restock our Husky Carts and provide students with school supplies, toys and snacks as incentives for earning Husky Bucks! Items are delivered directly to the school.
Open House - Th 3/21 @ 5pm π‘
Our students and teachers can't wait to showcase their learning this week at Open House.
- Doors will open at 5pm for food and drink sales - please support 6th and 8th grade!
- Tables will be setup in the Breezeway for useful information from the Mayor's Office, Food Services, PTA and more!
- The Book Fair is open in the Library from 5-7pm (please no food or drink in the Library)
- Artwork and a video showcase will be featured in the Cafetorium, please come through!
- Classrooms open at 5:30pm (please no food or drink in any classrooms)
- Food sales end at 6:45pm. The event closes at 7pm.
National History Day: Congratulations go to Marshall Ta-Beadle! π
Marshall's poster, paper and presentation was titled "The Boston Tea Party, Not Everyone's Cup of Tea. Marshall's individual poster entry earned him a "Finalist" place in the elementary school Gr 4/5 Division.
We hope to build a team for National History Day 2025 with support from Title 1. You are LEADing the way, Marshall!

Huskies Got Talent! ποΈ- Auditions Due 3/31!!
The Monterey Highlands Drama Club is proud to bring back the Husky Talent Show!! Ticket sales from this year's talent show will go towards production of a school play in the 24-25 school year. Let's see those Husky talents shine! Shout-out to Ms. Cheng, Ms Miller and Mrs. Nye for their vision of reviving the Talent Show!
Important Information:
- Audition videos are welcome from students in all grades TK-8
- Performances should be no more than 3 minutes
- Audition videos are due Sunday, March 31 - submit videos at this link
- The final lineup for the Talent Show will be announced after Spring Break
- SAVE THE DATE for the Talent Show on Friday 4/26/24 at 6:30pm

Ready, Tech Go! π± β 4/10
Attention MHE Parents and Caregivers!
Join us for an insightful evening on April 10th, right after our PTA Meeting, as we present "Ready, Tech Go!" This special parental educational program is designed to equip you with the tools necessary to determine if your child is ready for mobile technology.
The evening kicks off at 6:00 PM with our PTA Meeting, followed by our engaging "Ready, Tech Go!" program from 6:30 to 7:30 PM. We'll delve into important discussions and share valuable insights to support your child's digital journey.
Plus, we've got you covered with delicious food and refreshments throughout the event! And that's not all - get ready for some excitement as we'll be hosting raffle drawings with fantastic prizes from our generous donors, including Aquarium of the Pacific, Bumo, and SkyZone of Alhambra!

Attention all Monterey Highlands Elementary alumni! Exciting news, the Monterey Highlands Elementary PTA is proud to announce our Senior Scholarship program for the graduating class of 2024! Hereβs your chance to win one of three $500 scholarships to support your academic journey.

- Must be a graduate of Monterey Highlands Elementary
- Current PTA member (either student or parent/guardian)
- Have received an acceptance letter from a post-secondary institution or training program for the 2024-2025 academic year
