HALLOWEEN COSTUME PARADE
Thursday, October 3st, 2024

Brookwood Halloween Costume Parade, Thursday, October 31st
We are excited to invite our Brookwood families to attend Brookwood's Halloween Costume Parade. To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, we wanted to share some important information and guidelines to ensure a safe and happy celebration for all.
10AM to 10:30 AM: Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Grades
11 AM to 11:30 AM: 4th and 5th Grades
Parking: Unfortunately we do not have the means for families to park at Brookwood. However, families can park nearby and then walk to Brookwood. Families should then take a spot to be seated on the field facing the bus loop or on bus loop sidewalk. The parade will take place on the bus loop.
We encourage you to be spectators at the parade in the designated spectator-only areas. Your presence and support are greatly appreciated and will contribute to the overall success of our costume parade. In addition, we ask that adult spectators DO NOT DRESS IN COSTUME. No pets allowed and smoking is not permitted on the school grounds. These are all for safety reasons and it imperative that all spectators abide by these rules.
We also ask and highly encourage you to not sign your child (ren) out early, after the parade ends. With a building of our size, nearly 1,000 students, we do not have the means to support a large amount of simultaneous sign outs. We would greatly appreciate your support in regards to this.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in helping us ensure a safe and enjoyable costume parade event for everyone. With your support, we are hopeful that we can make this a yearly event at Brookwood We look forward to seeing you there and making lasting memories together! We are proud to bring this event to our school and we look forward to celebrating it with our Brookwood families.
COSTUME GUIDELINES
We're excited to celebrate the holiday with out students in a safe and enjoyable manner. To ensure a fun and secure experience for everyone, we kindly ask for your cooperation with the following guidelines:
1. No Weapons/ Face Masks: For the safety of all children, we kindly request that costumes do not include any weapons or replicas of weapons of any kind. Additionally, we ask that masks covering students' faces not be worn during the school day. However, they may wear them for the parade.
2. Hands-Free Fun: To make sure our students can fully participate in the parade, it's best to keep their hands free. Bulky or heavy accessories can be challenging for them.
3. School-Worn Costumes: Make sure the costume is manageable for your child(ren) and that they can put it on and take it off independently. Students are welcome to wear their costume to school, but please defer to your child's teacher if they prefer for their students to bring their costume to school instead.
4. The school is not responsible for lost costume items. However, we will always look for children's lost items.
Your cooperation is greatly appreciated, and we look forward to a fun filled parade!
