Weekly Update

What's Happening This Week:
Hello, Wonderful Families! 🌟
Welcome to another exciting week in our classroom! We are thrilled to share all the fun and learning that’s happening. Let’s dive right in and see what we’ve been up to and what’s coming next!
Last week
We had a fantastic time exploring new concepts and engaging in various activities!
Next week
Phonics: Get ready for some phonics fun! We will participate in shared reading, where we’ll identify, blend, and spell words with the /oi/ sound. Our new high-frequency words will also be introduced.
Here are our spelling words for the week:
join
toy
coin
boy
spoil
joy
point
moist
walk
buy
only
through
Reading: We will focus on identifying who is telling the story at different parts. We’ll evaluate details to determine what’s most important, ask and answer questions, and use illustrations to describe settings and events. Sorting words into categories, like colors, will help us understand concepts better. Plus, we’ll discuss the differences between storybooks and informational books!
Math: We are wrapping up Topic 8 this week!
Things to remember
Encourage your child to practice spelling the /oi/ words at home. You can make it fun by creating games or using flashcards!
Ask your child questions about the stories we read together to enhance their comprehension skills.
Keep an eye out for our new high-frequency words; they will be popping up in our reading!
Until next time! 🎉
Thank you for your continued support and involvement in your child’s learning journey.
