What is MRU?
When is it?
MRU 2024 will be Saturday, April 13 from 12pm-4 pm on the Menchaca Elementary campus.

Who can attend?
All Menchaca families and our surrounding community are welcome to join us for a great day of family-friendly fun! Please do not bring pets. Children must be accompanied by their families or other trusted adults - childcare will not be provided.

Where do I park?
Parking is available ONLY across the street from campus at the Menchaca Baptist Church.

Austin ISD Police will provide traffic control to allow safe crossings of FM 1626. Please cross the street only when directed by an officer.
IMPORTANT: Campus parking is only permitted for vendors and ADA access.
How much does it cost?
Admission is free for everyone and this is a great opportunity to see our beautiful campus.
Participation in the carnival activities will require tickets or a wristband.
Each wristband costs $25 and will provide unlimited access to rides, inflatables, and other activities. Wristbands can be purchased in advance at https://bit.ly/MRU2024 or on the day of the event at the MRU ticket table. Alternatively, individual tickets cost $1/ticket and can be purchased in $5, $10, and $20 increments at the ticket table. Most attractions will require 2 to 4 tickets for participants without a wristband.
*We strongly recommend that wristbands are purchased in advance and that attendees bring cash to minimize wait times and maximize efficiency and fun.
Food trucks, concessions, the Mustang Spirit Store, and the Mustang Market are available for additional costs and will accept cash or credit card payments.
What are the details of the MRU Silent Auction?
The silent auction will feature baskets assembled by our students and staff. All auction items can be viewed online https://www.32auctions.com/MRU2024 and in person at MRU. The auction will launch at 5pm on Friday, April 12, and will conclude at 12pm on Sunday, April 14. All bidding and payments will be processed online through the above 32auctions webpage.
Payment for winning bids is due before 5pm on Monday, April 15, and all sales are final. Winning bidders may collect their items from the Menchaca school main office on Tuesday, April 16 or Wednesday, April 17 during school hours (8am-2pm). If needed, alternate pickup arrangements must be promptly requested by emailing fundraising@menchacapta.org.
What are the details of the MRU Raffle?
Each raffle ticket costs $5 and is valid for a single prize selection.

All Menchaca students will receive a packet of tickets to sell on Monday, March 18. All funds and raffle tickets should be returned to campus in the manila envelope no later than Tuesday, April 9. Unsold raffle tickets must also be returned.
Additional raffle tickets may be purchased at MRU on Saturday, April 13th. The raffle drawing will take place at 3:30pm and ticket holders do not need to be present to win.
How can I help?
We are so grateful for our community support! Compiling Silent Auction baskets, selling Raffle Tickets, and attending MRU with family and friends are all great ways to participate. If you are able, please consider supporting our concession stand by donating cases of Gatorade and bottled/canned water. Donations can be dropped off at the Menchaca front office until Friday, April 12th. We are also in need of volunteers to help on the day of the event. Volunteer shifts are 2 hours long and each volunteer shift qualifies for ONE free wristband for unlimited access to rides (a $25 value). Vendor reservations are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Menchaca PTA will provide 1 table and 2 chairs. Reservation fee: $50
Each vendor is responsible for their own promotional materials, banners, products and/or services, and point-of-sale processing systems.
Donations of goods or services to be featured in the Silent Auction are encouraged and appreciated. Contact fundraising@menchacapta.org
