Spotlight on Current Events: Student-Created Podcasts
In our Current Events class, students took on the role of journalists by researching and producing their very own podcasts on recent news stories. From the upcoming Minecraft movie to tragic plane crashes and the California wildfires, students selected topics that captured their interest and presented their findings in an engaging and thoughtful way. This project not only encouraged deeper understanding of global events, but also helped students strengthen their research, collaboration, and communication skills.
Students dive into current headlines as they write, record, and produce their own news podcasts in their Current Events class.

Junior Audrey Northrup has artwork installed in the 31st Circuit Court courtroom of Judge Daniel Damman. Other Happenings in our District
Dear Senior and Kindergarten Families,
We are thrilled to introduce a new tradition this graduation season - Kinders & Caps!
This special event brings together our graduating seniors and kindergarteners in a unique celebration. During the event, our kindergartners and seniors will walk across the football field and meet at the 50-yard line to exchange a small, meaningful gift with one another. It's a beautiful way to honor the journey from the very beginning of school to the exciting next chapter.
Event Highlights:
- Seniors and kindergartners will meet at the 50-yard line to exchange small gifts
- Family members are welcome to sit in the stands on either side of the field
- There will be a short window after the ceremony to take pictures on the field
Please see the attached invitation for full details. We look forward to seeing you there!
