CDHS Band Announcements

Happy last week of school!!!! I hope everyone had a great 2024-25 school year and are ready for summer. It will be a great break before we start the 2025-26 school year!

Senior Scholarships: Thank you to all seniors who filled out scholarship applications for the Band Boosters

Band Banquet: Thank you to everyone who RSVP'ed to the end of the year band banquet. It was a great time at the banquet.

District Band Audition Music is LIVE!!!: For everyone in the CDHS Band program, students have the option to audition into the PMEA District 7 North Honors Band. This outstanding ensemble allows students that chance to play some awesome music with some of the areas top musicians. Each year, audition music is released before summer, in hopes that students start preparing for these auditions in the summer. I highly recommend DOING THESE AUDITIONS as they are fantastic opportunities and experiences for our music students. Also, CDHS takes care of all audition fees and festival fees for students. Please find the excerpt list on the page, along with scale requirements. Most CDHS band musicians will not have issues with the scale requirements, as we already play these in class! Also remember, for all concert band musicians that make it into either District band or County Band, you are automatically placed into Wind Ensemble. Please contact Mr. Tate with any questions about these auditions.

Also remember, for all concert band musicians that make it into either District band or County Band, you are automatically placed into Wind Ensemble.

Graduation Band: TODAY, June 5th at 4:30pm is the report time for band members playing in the commencement ceremonies for CDHS at Landis Field. All non senior members of Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, and select members of Percussion Ensemble will be playing as part of the celebration. Please report in concert black (short sleeved, collared shirts or blouses are fine) to Landis Field. Student musicians will be fed dinner provided by the CDHS Band Boosters after a brief 30-45 minute rehearsal. Graduation starts at 6:30pm, with an anticipated end time around 8-8:30pm. Please note parking is limited due to the size of the event. Carpooling is advised if you are going to be driving.

Thank you for all your contributions (whether financially or otherwise) to the CDHS music programs. Your support enabled not only your child's musical growth, but also the growth of the entire band program. But the fun doesn't have to stop there. By becoming a Boosters Patron, you can support the Ram Band and receive updates from the Band Boosters about upcoming events, performances and fundraisers.

Membership is available for parents, family, the new graduates or anyone who loves music. Information about the program will be sent by the Boosters ( @cdramband.org) to the email address used in the signup form.
