CDHS Band Announcements

I hope everyones school year is off to a great start and I look forward to seeing many of you at Back to School Night, tonight!

For any person that is new to the CDHS Band Program, my name is Mr. Tate, one of the band directors at Central Dauphin High School. I teach the three concert bands (9th grade Concert Band, The Symphonic Band, and The Wind Ensemble), the Concert Percussion Ensemble, the Marching Band, and a few other music electives. To start off the year, and throughout the year, I'll be sending out email announcements, along with, new for this year, Remind App text messages communicating with you. Please find your announcements below:

Band Officers- The CDHS Band program is opening up the Application process for this year's band officers. Please find that application here: https://forms.gle/qapz9HpCtaDf4waX8 . Each year the Band Program student President, Vice-President, Secretary, Librarian, Members-at-Large, and Historian come together to lead special service projects, fundraisers, programs, and other vital parts of the CDHS Band program. Officership is open to everyone who is a part of the Concert, Jazz, and Marching Programs that attend CDHS. Please fill out the google form above by September 19th in order to be considered.

Remind App- New for this year, we will be switching any communications that use to take place through "other app based" communications, to the Remind App. The Remind App will send text messages through to your phone that you used to register at CDHS. CDSD has mandated that we switch to this platform and we will be moving everything to this platform in short order. Please stay tuned for further information about this.

Band VA Trip- This year, the CDHS Band program will be taking part in a performance tour through Virginia! We have an exciting Itinerary planned with many activities, fun events, and performances. Please be aware there will be a forthcoming trip meeting in the near future to present the final itinerary, payment schedules, fundraising, and other information surrounding the trip.
