It's concert week! Looking forward to a great show this Sunday!
District Band: Congratulations goes out to Kalen Yates who successfully auditioned into District 7 Band this past Saturday! Bravo to EVERYONE who auditioned and represented CD at the festival auditions.
DCMEA County Band Sign Ups- The Dauphin County Music Educator's Association County Band sign ups are now open. As was announced at the beginning of the year, the DCMEA county band is an auditioned, honors ensemble open to all students in the CDHS Band Program. To find more information and the audition music, please visit: https://www.dcmea.com/dcmea-county-band-festival.html. Please fill out this google form here to register for Virtual County band tryouts: https://forms.gle/HmSezkDLACzEUdQ98. The last day to fill this form out is Monday, December 16th. You will need to record and submit your audition videos between January 6th and January 14th. Any questions, please ask Mr. Tate.
Winter Concert Dates and Times: The CDHS Music department winter concert is this week. For the CDHS Concert Bands, please know these dates and times:
Dec 12; directly after school- 4pm- Dress Rehearsal for all Non-auditioned groups
Dec 15- 2pm Non-Audition Concert; Report Time at 1:30pm
Dec 15- 4:30pm Auditioned Concert; Report Time at 4pm
Yearbook Pictures- Every year, the Monday after our holiday concert we get our pictures taken for the yearbook. Please make sure ALL band students bring black clothing with them to change into for these pictures during their band classes. They will also have time to change back into regular street clothes if they choose to.
PJ's Pub Dine to Donate: Stop on out to PJ's this week to support the band program! See the flyer below for details. See you there Dec 16th!
VA Trip Student Room Sign Ups- Students, please use this form to submit your rooming requests for the trip: https://forms.gle/ALfFQAt4vHPit6HeA. Only 1 person from your rooming group needs to fill out this form. If there are discrepancies as to rooming lists, Mr. Tate will track people down, so please make sure you have talked to everyone you will be rooming with prior to filling out the form!

All students: Please start thinking about who you would like to room with during the trip over break. We will be putting out rooming list sign ups for students once break is over!
Chaperone's and adult travelers- I was able to check on a question that came up during the initial trip meeting. All chaperone's/adult travelers that will be going with us need to have gone through the volunteer clearance and badge process with the district. That process can be found here. Please note that I will eventually need your volunteer badge number to list on the trip request roster. I will need this by January 15th. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out.
