CDHS Band Announcements

Hard to believe, but we are a few short days away from February. Please find your band announcements below:

Congratulations to Kalen Yates on a super successful weekend at the PMEA District 7 North Band festival at Cedar Cliff HS. It was an awesome ensemble playing fabulous music! Bravo!!

Vibes Earplug Partnership: A cool recent opportunity came up to help provide our music students with high quality hearing protection. I started the year off with over a 100 pairs of cheap earplugs that lasted through the first 1/4 of marching band season. All orders must be placed by end of day on Monday, February 3. The earplugs will be distributed by staff to the students who place orders/have orders placed for them.

Trip Payments and Indoor Drumline Dues: Please be conscious of the payment due dates and monetary responsibilities for the Virginia Trip and Drumline dues for the season. Mr. Tate will be reaching out to people who are over two months behind on payments starting in February. If you have questions on payment schedules, feel free to email Mr. Tate.

Chaperone's and adult travelers- All chaperone's/adult travelers that will be going with us need to have gone through the volunteer clearance and badge process with the district. That process can be found here. Please note that I will eventually need a copy of your volunteer badge . I will need this by January 15th. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out.

Band Officer Bake Sales:

A message from our student band officers:

We need your help to make our bake sales a success! When our monthly bake sale comes around the following items are much-needed and greatly appreciated donations:

• Cookies
• Brownies
• Cupcakes (Store bought; full size or mini)
• Rice Krispie Treats

• Chocolate-covered pretzels

• Fudge
• Any other baked goods…

** Any homemade goods must be individually packaged **

Bake Sale Dates:

• Monday, January 13th
• Friday, February 7th + Monday, February 10th
• Friday, March 7th + Monday, March 10th

• Friday, May 9th + Monday, May 12th

• If you wish to donate baked goods to any of our bake sales, please bring or have the donations brought to Mr. Tate's office the day before or the day of the bake sale.
