News From Ms. Burden
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to share that I will be retiring from my position as principal at Ford, at the end of the 2024 - 2025 school year.
I have truly cherished my time here and I'm am grateful for the support, collaboration, and dedication we have shared over the years. Together, we have created a vibrant learning environment for our Ford Foxes. I am grateful for the time I have left here, which allows me to savor each moment before my departure.
The district will be sharing the process for the transition soon. They will be looking for feedback from students, staff and families. I will work closely with the administration to ensure a smooth transition for our school community.
Thank you for the wonderful memories. I will miss you all!

Run 4 Funds Update
THANK YOU Ford families for making Run4Funds a success! Together we raised more than $82,000, hitting our goal of raising $125 per student on average. PLUS, with the help of generous corporate matches and optional donations on the R4F site, we raised an additional $5,000 to directly benefit the school!
We could not have done this without your dedication to the Ford community and follow through. We had donations coming through down to the wire and every one made a difference!
Prize Day will be held Tuesday, October 15th and will include fun with bouncy inflatables on the Ford field and the making of sandy candy for all students! Individual prizes awarded will be sent home with your student at the end of the day.
We welcome your feedback on the Run4Funds experience. As the school’s largest fundraising event each year, we want to make continual improvements to ensure a fun, inclusive, community building experience. Please reach out to Co-Chairs Lane Brown at lane.a.brown@gmail.com and Kate Rose at katecampbellrose@gmail.com with any questions or comments.
Thank you again, we make a BIG difference for students when we pull together!

Counseling Corner
October is National Bullying Prevention Month. We will be focusing on our TEAM value of EMBRACING KINDNESS for the month of October as a way to counter bullying. This skill will be introduced at our upcoming school-wide TEAMWORK THURSDAY morning meeting, as well as in classroom morning meetings.
The Mental Health team is challenging our students to engage in Random Acts of Kindness throughout October and complete the following bingo board:
We have been enjoying getting to know and continuing to work with your kids and family this school year! As always, please continue to reach out if any social-emotional concerns arise.
We’re looking forward to another rewarding year working with the Ford community!
