Alice Vail School Open House: August 14, 5:00 -7:00 PM - Join Us for an Exciting Evening!
We are thrilled to invite you to our annual Open House event, scheduled for August 14 at 5:00 PM. This evening promises to be a fantastic opportunity for you to engage with our school community, explore various activities, and meet our dedicated teaching staff.
Date: Wednesday, August 14
Time: 5:00 PM in the cafeteria. Teacher rotations will begin at 5:30
Event Highlights:
Food Trucks and Booths: Starting at 4:30 PM, there will be a selection of delightful food trucks for you to enjoy. Take the chance to indulge in delicious bites as you peruse the informational booths that showcase different aspects of our school's programs and resources.
Title 1 Presentation: At 5:00 PM, we will host a special Title 1 Presentation in the Falcon Cafeteria. This presentation will provide valuable information about our school's Title 1 program and how it supports the academic growth of all our students. It's a fantastic opportunity to learn about the resources available to ensure your child's success.
Meet the Teachers: One of the main highlights of the Open House is the chance to follow your student's schedule and meet their wonderful teachers beginning at 5:30 PM. This is an excellent opportunity to familiarize yourself with the classrooms, gain insights into the curriculum, and establish an initial connection with the educators who will guide your child's learning journey this year.
We are genuinely excited to welcome you to our campus for this engaging event. Open House is a great way to set a positive tone for the new school year, where we can come together as a community to support our students' growth and learning.
Remember, the Open House takes place on Wednesday, August 14, at 5:00 PM starting in the cafeteria. We look forward to seeing you there! Feel free to bring your family and friends to share in the excitement.

We are very happy to begin this year with iPads issued to each student through the VILS program. We have issued 550 iPads so far this year.
Each student family signs the iPad agreement once. New students and incoming sixth grade student families can find the link here:
Please maintain the iPad in good condition, let the tech department know of device problems and return the device promptly when requested. iPads are for student educational purposes only. These iPads are school devices that may be randomly selected to be serviced.
🎤 CHOIR ANNOUNCEMENT 🎤
As this new school year starts, if you are interested in having a musically enriched class this year, come join choir! Beginning Choir is open to all students with any level of music experience. Beginning choir happens during 6th period.
If you have some music experience, come audition for the Advanced Choir. For the audition you must sing one song of your choosing. Auditions will be held after school starting Monday, August 5th till Tuesday August 13th. Email Mr. Warner with any questions at Stephen.warner@.tusd1.org.

This way, we'll be able to keep our messaging specific (and put together some fun grade-specific activities!) If you have more than one kiddo at AVMS, there may be a duplication or two but we will do our best to keep the communication to essential information. The good news is, after your kiddo graduates, the texts will automatically stop. Wahoo!
