The winter break is a wonderful time for relaxation and family, but returning to school after a two-week break can be challenging for students. Reestablishing a routine is essential to help your child transition smoothly back into their academic responsibilities. Here are a few tips to get them back on track:

Happy New Year! In OMA we will start learning about composers and conducting. We will continue to play classroom instruments like rhythm sticks and xylophones. Third graders will learn a few new notes on their recorders, and many new songs. Band and orchestra will be preparing for our concert at the end of March. Have a jazzy January!

For Physical Education class we start the New Year with our sports units. The first sport we will be playing is soccer followed by basketball. All sports involve stations and fun interactive games to develop skills.
