Practice STAAR- March 4- 8th Grade Only
Science
The Science PSTAAR exam is scheduled for March 4th. This exam will only affect 8th grade students. Students MUST bring their FULL CHARGED CHROMEBOOK and CHARGER to school with them.
We encourage students to do the best they can on the exam, starting with a good night’s sleep, eating a hardy breakfast, and arriving to school on time.
Upcoming PSTAAR Exam
March 4- Science (8th grade only)
March 19- Social Studies (8th grade only)
Please avoid any student pick up during testing. We want all students to have the best, quiet testing environment throughout the testing period. Testing times: 8:40-1:00 pm
Lunch drop off will not be available during testing days. Please plan accordingly.
Student vs Staff Basketball Game
March 7
Students and staff will participate in a student vs staff basketball game on Friday, March 7 at 2:50.
Parents picking students up early must do so by 2:45pm on this day. Please plan accordingly.
End of grading period approaching
March 7th, ends the 3rd, nine weeks grading period. This is a great opportunity to check your child's grade on skyward family access and or check with your child's teacher to see how they are progressing.
Soccer Tryouts
March 18, 19 and 20
7th Grade GIRLS: 7:00am – 8:30am
7th Grade BOYS: 4:10pm – 5:40pm
8th Grade GIRLS: 4:10pm – 5:40pm
8th Grade BOYS: 4:10pm – 5:40pm
Each person must be present at all three days of tryouts. In order to participate, all athletic paperwork (physical from a doctor and Rank One) must be on file with the coaches. Scan QR code for paperwork.

Dyslexia Panel: Insights from Experience-zoom
Join us for a dyslexia panel, where our SBISD student panelists will share their personal stories and insights. They will discuss the challenges they face in the classroom, the strategies that help them succeed, and their journeys of self-advocacy.

Nurse Erdin
Students with a temperature of 100 or above (orally) are considered to have fever and must not come to school. To prevent the spread of a communicable disease, ill students must be symptom free and fever free without the use of temperature reducing medications for 24 hours before returning to school.
