Our Vision:
We succeed when all members are leaders who demonstrate core values, problem-solve, and work to achieve our goals.
Field Day
Get ready for an exciting day of fun and games because Field Day is just around the corner! We're thrilled to announce that this year's Field Day will take place on May 24th.
Here are the details:
- Grades 3-5: 8:30 AM - 11:00 AM
- Grades K-2: 12:30 PM - 3:00 PM
It's a fantastic opportunity for our students to showcase their skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship while enjoying a day filled with various activities and friendly competitions.
If you would you like to be a part of the excitement and help make Field Day a memorable experience for our students? If so, please consider volunteering!
If you're interested in volunteering, please fill out the Google form provided below by May 10th
Your support and involvement are greatly appreciated, and we can't wait to see you there cheering on our students!
If you have any questions or need further information, please don't hesitate to contact Mr. Tanurchis or Coach Riley
Thank you for your continued support.
Thank you!
A huge thank you to our PTO and our Hanna Woods community for showering Baby Schewe with Diapers and Wipes! I am so grateful to bring Baby Schewe into such an amazing community 💙
2024 Attendance Challenge
We'll be doing another attendance challenge during the MAP testing window to help encourage students to make it to school. From Monday 5/6 through Friday, May 17th, we will be calculating attendance percentage daily for every class. The class with the highest attendance for each week will win an extra 15 minutes of recess.
Stay healthy and let's finish the year strong!
ESOL at Hanna Woods
Hello families! Your children are learning a lot during their school day, and they can continue to learn with you at home. Learning together can be a fun and rewarding experience.
Learning Together at Home: Science
Kids are natural scientists. What makes a rainbow? Why do bananas get brown? These activities help kids explore the big, wild world and think about what scientists do through processes like observation and conducting experiments.
Learning Together at Home: Math
Math is everywhere! When you measure an ingredient for a recipe, tell time, pay a bill, or look at the daily temperature, you are using math. These activities offer ideas on how to make math fun at home and start building some math skills that kids will use as they get older.
Exploring the Outdoors:
There is so much to see outside - a bird's nest, a flower growing out of the sidewalk, a big rain cloud. These activities can be done outside together and will help you and your child feel more connected to the outdoors - especially when you both need a break from screen time!
Summer is Approaching:
The summer is a great time for kids to explore, read, and learn. In fact, research shows that kids who keep learning over the summer often have a better start to the new school year.
Please email us with any questions or concerns.
Thank you!
