Thank you to our Veterans. Our students had fun creating a slideshow to share with their peers honoring the Veterans they know and love.

Celebrating Our Students: This month our students and staff will be recognized at our School Board meetings on the 2nd Wednesday of the month. Please check out the link below to hear who has been nominated from GCE for school board recognition. The meetings are at 5:15 on Wednesdays.

Focus on Gratitude: The month of November is all about Gratitude. We have seen some very grateful students and behaviors at GCE! Check out the pictures below!

We will be having our Lockdown Drill this week. Please make sure your child arrives to school on time as our drill will take place in the morning.

GCCSD is partnering with New Opportunities for a mentoring program. Check out the information below if your child may benefit from a mentor.

GCCSD partners with the Food Bank of Iowa to provide food products for our students and families. Food pantry items are sent home in student backpacks on Fridays. We strive to provide items to create a meal and/or supplement the home's pantry. Items vary based on availability. All students are eligible to receive pantry items. Please fill out the form linked below to sign your child(ren) up.

Greene County Community School District is sending home attendance letters to families to increase awareness after 3, 6, and 9 days of accumulated absences. Please don't hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions about student absences.

Please review the recess and weather guidelines for GCE. We will be outside for recess everyday unless the wind chill is below zero. Please help your child plan accordingly for comfortable outdoor play. If you need winter clothing items for your child, please reach out to our nurse, Lita Bauer, 515.386.3178.
