Dear Parents and Guardians,
As we say our final goodbyes before the end of the school year, I wanted to thank all of you for making this year such a successful one, and for continuing to support our staff and your children throughout the year.
Thank you for trusting us to educate your children each and every day. Our staff cares tremendously about all of your children, and it makes us proud to see the progress they’ve made this year. We have so much to celebrate this year, and it is because of our ability to work alongside one another that has helped shape our school for success.
Thank you to the entire PiE Executive Board and all of the event chairs and volunteers that have helped make this year a memorable one for your children. Your contributions to our school are so appreciated and never taken for granted. A special thanks to Mrs. Julie Luster-Roell, who is ending her tenure as PiE President. She has personally done so much for this school, and our parent organization is in such a great place because of her efforts.
Thank you to our extremely supportive Board of Education for volunteering countless hours towards making a difference in our students' experiences here at DTS.
I wish everyone a safe, relaxing and enjoyable summer together with your children. Read
with them, play games with them, and encourage them to go outside and explore!
Have a wonderful and healthy summer everyone!
Sincerely,
Scott Lipson
Farewell DTS 2024!
On behalf of the Board of Education we’d like to thank all families, faculty and staff for supporting another successful school year for the children of DTS.
Congratulations to the 8th grade students who celebrated their promotion last night and best wishes as they begin their high school years!
Over the summer our board will be looking ahead to goals for the ‘24-25 school year that continue to promote the achievement of all students. As always, we welcome community input and feedback.
Have a wonderful summer!
Missing personal belongings
If your child brought home a green March on Litter bag today, please take a look to see if there is anything in the bag that is not yours. Also, if anyone has a red bag that looks like a pencil case, it may contain medical supplies that are from another student.
If you find either of these items, please contact the school

Move Up Day
Our 1st annual Move Up Day was a huge success! Lastly, our 8th graders rehearsed for their upcoming promotion ceremony. What a fun day that will certainly become a tradition here at DTS!
6th Grade Middle School Orientation
Save the date!
Our current 5th graders will be invited to a Middle School orientation on Tuesday, August 27th!
They will learn all about their transition to Middle School, and they will be able to practice using their lockers and switching from one class period to the next.
