B-BOP and LQA&E Registration Now Live

Registration for our B-BOP and LQA&E Training Events is now live on 4-H Online!

You're invited to join us for B-BOP and LQA&E February 21st & 22nd at the Braham Event Center (655 8th St SW, Braham, MN 55006).

  • You can view the PDF of the event flyer here (including the schedule and other details).

B-BOP is a livestock learning overnight for youth in grades three through six. Sessions will be offered in General Livestock (Beef/Dairy/Swine/Sheep), Poultry, Rabbit, Goat, & Horse. Participants will select their top 3 session choices. Sessions are filled on a first come first served basis.

We will also be offering Livestock Quality Assurance and Ethics (LQA&E) at the same venue. You do not have to attend the B-BOP overnight to attend LQA&E, they are separate events. Please note that LQA&E is required for all youth sixth grade and up if they would like to show an animal at the State fair or NE Livestock show. This is the only time LQA&E will be offered in Isanti County this year.

  • If you are unable to attend this training there are other trainings around the state of MN. Youth can also take Youth for the Quality Care of Animals (YQCA) online. It is valid for one fair season and costs $12.00.
  • You can view the MN 4-H LQA policy here.

Audience:

  • B-BOP overnight: Youth in grades three through six
  • LQA&E: All youth 3rd grade and up

Cost:

  • B-BOP: $20.00 if you register by January 24th. $30.00 if you register January 25 - February 9th.
  • LQA&E: Free for Isanti and Chisago youth. $5 for youth from other counties.
  • Cost should never deter youth from attending any 4-H events. Please reach out to the Extension Office to discuss scholarship opportunities or select the scholarship option when registering for the event in 4-H Online.

Registration for both events are due February 9th. Register for the event via 4-HOnline. New to registering for an event through 4-H Online? Check out this helpful event registration guide.

We are also looking for 4 chaperones and 2 LQA&E teachers for this event. Please let me know if you're interested.
