The winter weather is upon us and Thanksgiving break is right around the corner. With the winter weather, come slippery roads! Give yourselves extra time to get to school and be careful on the roads this week! Speaking of winter weather, Council School District is looking to implement a Late Start School Day schedule for winter weather days. This option gives administration a choice of starting the school day a couple hours later on those days where there is a lot of snow at night to give kids and parents time to dig themselves out in the morning, but still salvage the school day. This does not get rid of the snow day option of cancelling school if the roads and weather do not make travel safe, but simply gives us another option. Please take a look at the attached draft schedule for the Jr./Sr. High. This will be presented at the board meeting this Tuesday. A first read of a new cell phone policy will also be discussed at this meeting as well! It is going to be a busy week ahead of a nice long break! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
