Congratulations to our Monarch Student of the Week Nominated by Mrs. Dewitt: Serenity Dorsey is a very responsible and kind Monarch! She supports another student every day in class by walking them to their next block and making sure they have their materials with them. Serenity has also joined our Quiz Bowl team, and she advocates for the other 6th grade members to make sure they are all represented in our competitions! Serenity shows great leadership potential and comes up with great ideas to support our McMillan community in Service Learning.

Congratulations to our Monarch Student of the Week Nominated by Mrs. Rawlings: Junior Jiminez Romero is a ray of sunshine every day. He is kind, helpful, encouraging, and even colors pictures for his teachers. Junior is on of our Spanish speaking English Language Learners. He has perfect attendance, works hard in school, and is known for telling the truth. Once Junior gets a chance to meet you, he will always say hi and ask you how you are. He is shines kindness and joy for the world to see and he makes my world a happier place. Junior is a True Monarch!

Being safe at McMillan is job one. Do not open any door for any human to get into this building. All adults have keys and cards, and all students must enter and check into the door. Officer Aquazzino does door checks 4 x daily to ensure we are secure. Do your part, and never prop a door open.
