A MESSAGE FROM DR. HARRISON
Hello Legacy Families!
We are so proud to announce that Legacy Magnet Academy has been named a 2024 California Distinguished School!
From the press release:
Congratulations! Legacy Magnet Academy is being recognized as a 2024 California Distinguished School!
Specifically, schools were selected by analyzing data reported through the 2023 Dashboard, with a focus on demonstrating excellence and growth in academic achievement and ensuring a positive school climate.
Schools are recognized for exceptional student performance based on achieving exemplary performance in English Language Arts (ELA) and math, reducing suspensions, and demonstrating high graduation rates (high schools only).
Information regarding the 2023 Dashboard is provided on the CDE California School Dashboard and System of Support web page at https://www.cde.ca.gov/ta/ac/cm/index.asp
You can view the news release announcing the 2024 Distinguished Schools on the CDE News Releases Year 2024 web page at https://www.cde.ca.gov/nr/ne/yr24/yr24rel09.asp
Please join us in celebrating our amazing school! We would not have accomplished this recognition without the dedication of our phenomenal teaching staff, the hard work of our fabulous students, and the ongoing support of our Legacy families and community. This recognition celebrates ALL of us!
We appreciate your ongoing support of Legacy Magnet Academy and look forward to a wonderful year as we partner together to deliver the best program to our students!
Thank you!

Take care and stay safe,
Dr. Harrison, Principal
We have added new language to our school handbook about the usage of E-Bikes on campus:
E-Bikes
On the school campus, the use of electric vehicles (E-vehicles) is subject to specific guidelines aimed at ensuring safety and accountability. To ride an E-vehicle to school and park on campus, students are encouraged to register their vehicles with the Police Department and starting in the 2024-2025 school year, prominently display a current parking permit. Permits for the next school year can be obtained annually for $5.00 from the TIDE Shack, contingent upon attendance with a parent or guardian at a bike safety presentation.
The campus parking lot adheres to a speed limit of 5 MPH. Engaging in reckless driving or exceeding the speed limit may result in the revocation of parking privileges. Activities such as riding inside the gates, on blacktops, fields, or tracks, riding doubles, and performing wheelies are strictly prohibited.
The school assumes no responsibility for the security of E-vehicles, and there are no provisions for charging E-vehicles on campus. In cases of theft or collision, students are advised to promptly contact the Police Department.
Unauthorized activities, including the transfer or exchange of permits without proper authorization, as well as providing transportation without permission, will lead to the loss of parking privileges. It is strongly emphasized that students adhere to these regulations to uphold a safe and orderly campus environment. Compliance with these guidelines contributes to the overall well-being and organization of the school community.

Sydney Madolora
Hi! I’m Sydney Madolora. I’m excited to be part of the first graduating class because I have had the chance to leave my legacy here:) Currently, I am the CEO of my VE company, ASB Co-CCO, and National Honor Society President. These past three years I’ve also dressed up in the Clyde the Tide costume, learned how to run a cotton candy machine, and traveled to NYC. Some things I love are ballet and boba. I plan to join a four-year university and double major in International Relations/Business Administration and Dance. After my undergraduate studies, I would like to pursue an MBA degree with a concentration in Entrepreneurship or Management. I will continue dancing, whether it be professionally or recreationally. I do have some dream colleges, but I don’t want to jinx it, so I won’t be sharing quite yet. Legacy has given me the public speaking, STEM, and entrepreneurship skills I need to succeed in the professional world. The support I’ve received from the staff and student body is unlike any other school, and I’m so thankful for the community here. I’m excited about college because I’m looking forward to “adulting,” but I will miss eating for free. And of course, I will miss my friends, family, and bed. In 10 years, I will be working a stable job that makes me happy. Hopefully, at that point, I’ve tried living abroad, still have enough flexibility to do a needle, and hang out with people who make life fulfilling. I have always believed I will end up exactly where I want/need to be, so I’m ready for the future!
Rikesh Jina
Hi, I’m Rikesh Jina and I’m a senior at LMA. I currently partake in many clubs here at Legacy such as NHS, CSF, HOSA, and Create-A-Smile. I’m also active in my taekwondo community being an instructor and practicing for about 8-9 years. After high school, I plan on attending college or university to get a degree. I would also ensure that I have a sturdy job for experience and money. I don’t really have a dream school, but I do want to go to UCI. I plan on majoring in Business Administration, but Finance and Business Management or other options as well. I do plan on getting a bachelor's degree and then continuing my education if necessary to an MBA. Ever since freshman year at LMA, I feel like I’ve absorbed a lot of useful information. Legacy has taught me many things such as delegating tasks, working in a business environment, and overall boosting my communication skills. Legacy has also allowed us to earn free college credit while getting experience for the future. Overall I’m feeling quite chill about my future especially with IVC being a strong contender for where I will attend next year. In 10 years I see myself finally done with school, having a job with financial freedom, and exploring the world. I also plan to extract thrill out of life so that I don’t get bored.
LMA’s Comedy Sportz HS League Team hosts match Mission Improv-Able on Thursday, March 7th from 4PM-5:30PM. The event will take place in the high school commons.
What happens in a match?
Two of our teams will compete for laughs through a series of improvisational games. All suggestions come from the live audience! It’s a lot of fun and a great way to support our LMA community. The proceeds for this match will support our VE teams going to Nationals. Mr. Moe is one of our guest players! We hope to see you there!
