Malta Ave’s got talent! On Tuesday, November 19th, many of our students wowed us with their talents. A huge thank you to our incredible Malta Ave PTA for providing our students with this wonderful opportunity!

The holiday season is officially upon us. To kick off the season, join members of the Malta Ave Student Council at the Ballston Spa Holiday Parade, which is Friday, December 6th. All Malta Ave students, staff, and families are encouraged to participate. For those interested in participating in the parade, meet on South Street near Stepping Star Gymnastics at 6:15 PM.

We are thrilled to have the SPAC Dance Residency program back at Malta Avenue this year working with our 5th grade students! The SPAC Dance Residency program is a fully immersive arts education program that provides our students with the chance to experience the life-enhancing benefits that accompany participation in the art of dance. Two highly-trained SPAC teaching artists and a SPAC musician will visit Malta Ave on Thursdays and will teach ten dance classes to every student participating in the program. The final evening performance for families is on 2/13/25. We are beyond excited to have this amazing program return to our school!

On Friday, November 22nd , we held our November schoolwide. Our student council did a wonderful job planning and leading our meeting. During schoolwide meetings, we recognize our character education award winners for the month and introduce our character education word for the next month.

This month, we have two character education word of the month overall winners. Our winners are: Everett C. and Avery B. Congratulations Everett and Avery! Thank you for exemplifying responsibility and embodying the Malta Way! Everett and Avery will be our Malta Man Sidekicks.

Our character education word for December is generosity- The willingness to help others. - kindness - helpful - giving - unselfishness - charity - big heartedness

As temperatures continue to get colder, please remember that students still go outside for recess. Please send them in with warm coats, hats and mittens. When the snow starts, students will only be able to play in the snow if they are wearing snow pants, snow boots and mittens, otherwise they have to stay on the pavement.
