Students and Parents, please be reminded that attendance will continue to be taken for every class, every day, all the way through the end of the semester on Dec. 20th. If you already have the maximum number of absences in any of your classes, you cannot miss any days from now until Dec. 20th, or you will either a) have to do seat time (see flyer below), or b) fail the class due to absences if you are over 8 in a semester-long class. Please come to school so that this does not end up applying to you. See Mrs. Hamilton, your administrator or counselor, if you have any questions regarding this.

At Tuesday's board meeting, the Richland One Board of Commissioners gave final approval to a state-required policy that prohibits students from using their cell phones or other personal electronic devices during the school day. The new policy will be in effect when our students return to school on Tuesday, January 7. Information about the policy, including FAQs and a video can be found here. In January 2025, be on the lookout for information from Mr. Gunshefski (Room 321) about an interest meeting for our newest team/club.

Students can compete in the following games:

• League of Legends
• Overwatch 2
• Rocket League
• Mario Kart
• Super Smash Bros.

Practices and matches will take place after school in the Esports room. The spring season runs from February to April. The first Match is February 10. For more information, contact Mr. Gunshefski (robert.gunshefski2@richlandone.org).

ROMC is hosting an Open House on Tuesday, December 17, from 6-7pm in the Center for Business and Information Technology Building at Midlands Technical College.

ROMC offers students the tools they need to excel in a personalized, college-centered environment with:
