Lesher Grad Walk!
As tradition, on Thursday, Lesher Alumni who are graduating high school met at Lesher one last time to walk the halls and be celebrated! Graduates had time to meet with teachers and students and reflect on their journey.
Gardening Club Needs Your Help!
Attention Lesher Community!
Do YOU want fresh produce? At absolutely no cost? Then consider becoming a Lesher garden volunteer over the summer! Volunteers sign up for 1 week commitments and during that time they water the garden and harvest whatever the garden produces that week. Watering and harvesting take less than 30 minutes and, depending on the weather, does not need to happen every day! Your commitment could be as little as 2 - 4 days.
Imagine cooking a meal with fresh vegetables that came from a garden your student helped plant and care for! If you are interested in volunteering this summer, please reach out to Ms. Natalie Giza at ngiza@psdschools.org! Thanks for everything you do and for your support in this awesome learning opportunity.
Please Return all Computers, Chargers, and Library Books ASAP!!!
Lesher Minecraft Tour!
Over the past 2 years, Design Club has been busy building a scale model of Lesher in Minecraft! We used Google Earth to measure an outline from above – each block was ½ meter in length. They took pictures of every classroom and made sure every single detail was accounted for – down to the color of the flooring to Mr. Swann on hall duty in the front. They used redstone (it’s a special kind of Minecraft block that is like electricity) to power lights, run water to the water fountains, and play a special tune when you press a button at the front door.
Evie Eslinger, Esther Johnson, and Emilia Mellizo Kroll have been integral as the ‘mayors’ of this online community. They have presented their work at several teacher trainings at the district level!
Last week, this video was presented to 5th graders and they loved seeing their new school!

Join us for two action-packed summer camps, brought to you in collaboration with SummitStone Health Partners:
Middle School Camp:
Dates: June 25th - 27th
Duration: Three days of discovery and fun!
High School Camp:
Dates: July 29th - August 1st
Duration: Four days of exploration and inspiration!
At these camps, students will have the incredible opportunity to:
- Learn directly from local behavioral health experts.
- Participate in hands-on activities and engaging workshops.
- Embark on eye-opening site visits to top behavioral health facilities.
- Make a difference through volunteering in our community.
Plus, did we mention that these camps are completely FREE? Yes, you read that right! We'll even provide delicious lunches for all participants. We believe these camps will ignite a passion for behavioral health careers and empower students to make a positive impact in our community. Help us spread the word and encourage your students to take advantage of this exciting opportunity!
For more information or to register, please contact Anasia Sturdivant at SummitStone Health Partners [mailto:anasia.sturdivant@summitstonehealth.org]. Spaces are limited, so don't delay!
