- Fundraising - volunteers will be needed for certain events - please sign up!
- Yearbook - want one? Ask your parents to order it through their PowerSchool account.
- Are you taking a course via Outreach? Login to Google Classroom and complete your first assignment by February 28 or you will be removed from the class.
- Baby Photo - submit before April 1 (this picture will be paired with your grad photo for the slide show during the Gala)
- Grad Quote - submit before April 1 Parameters are listed in the google form. Reminder: quote and source must be appropriate. All quotes will get vetted by staff and several have been cut in the past. Choose wisely. This quote will go beside your grad picture in the yearbook.
Grad Eligibility
To be eligible to graduate and to attend the graduation ceremony a student must be eligible to earn 100 credits in courses required for a high school diploma from Alberta Education, by the end of June 2025. Students must be passing courses in semester two when the final list is completed. See the link below to find a list of the specific courses required to graduate.

MyPass: This is where students have access to marks, credits, transcripts and much more.
Students must register with Alberta Education for registering to rewrite diploma exams, order transcripts, and view and print diploma exam results (they are no longer mailed out). You will need your Alberta Student Number to get started. Please see Mr. Horb, Mrs. Douglas, or Mme Lajoie to register for MyPass.
DIPLOMA MARKS
Semester 1 Diploma Marks have been posted on myPass.

- if you would like to request a rescore - DEADLINE for January 2025 is February 27.
Note: your rescore mark will be the mark that stands, even if it scored lower than your original mark. - if you would like to rewrite the January Diploma Exam
Work Experience is a great way to accumulate credits and meet grad requirements. See Ms. Pearson in the Off Campus Office.
GRAD LISTS
Students are asked to check the grad lists (English and French Immersion) to make sure that their name appears on the list. The list is posted outside the office. A new list will go up at the end of February (after diplomas) and another in early May on the bulletin board outside the Students Union room.
Students are to see Mr. Horb if their name is not on the list and see Mme Ouelette if their name is not on the French Immersion list.
Grade 12 students will host a variety of fundraising opportunities throughout the year to support the costs of graduation.
* All fundraisers require student participation, be it committee members, implementation and basic selling of product. Committee members will be in charge of planning and organizing the activity with teacher advisors.

GRAD COMMENCEMENT FEE
An invoice will be sent to all parents regarding the $125 grad fees (dependent on fundraising).
This fee covers the following: gown rental, cap and tassel keepsake, diploma cover, printing of diplomas and the programs, commencement photo, keychain momento, production.

Morning Event:
COMMENCEMENT CEREMONY
Saturday, June 7, 2025.
arrive by 8:30 am for picture taking and the line-up
Commencement Ceremony starts promptly at 9:45 am
Grad Day Salon bookings:
We recommend not booking a hair/makeup appointment before 2:00 pm. We have finished previous ceremonies around 12:15 pm; however, this grad class is potentially over 492 graduates so we may not finish before 12:30 pm - 1:00 pm.
Evening Event:
GRAD GALA & DANCE
Saturday, June 7, 2025
arrive by 6:30 pm as this will afford time for photos and a class picture before the evening events
Gala starts promptly at 6:45 pm
The order of events includes: toasts and speeches, grad song, historians, slide show, grand march followed by the dance.
Appetizer food stations will be available at 8:00pm. A list of ingredients will be listed at each food station. THIS IS NOT DINNER. Please have your full evening meal before coming to the Gala.
PLEASE NOTE: Events like any type of Safe Grad/After Grad functions are not affiliated with Paul Kane High School.
GALA/DANCE TICKET SALES
Ticket sales for the Gala & Dance will take place the last week of April, 2025.
Policy at the Edmonton Convention Centre: Table settings must be groups of 8, 9, 10 (tables cannot be fewer than 8 people).
This is how the ticket sales will be organized:
- Tickets will be available online through Purple Pass.
- Once all your school fees are paid you will be able to purchase tickets.
- Each grad will be able to purchase up to 5 tickets.
- The floor plan and seating chart will be displayed online for you to choose your seats. Once you have chosen your seats it will add the total to your cart. When you pay for your purchase the tickets will be emailed to you to print or save on your phone.
There are NO refunds after tickets are purchased, so please be certain of your numbers.
The evening of the event all Tickets will be scanned at the door and any guests suspected of being intoxicated will be denied entrance (GRADS included).
