Congratulations to our RMS students & staff for making it through the first trimester of the school year! It is always an adjustment transitioning back from summer, and RMS did it seamlessly! Students will be able to view their new Trimester 2 schedule on Powerschool & Schoology starting Friday afternoon. Mrs. Skover is so proud of our 6th grade students for completing their 1st trimester of middle school! Lots of smiles and lots of tears, but at the end, you all conquered through the mission! Keep up the hard work and strive to improve your organization skills and make sure to keep up with your assignments!
I will be starting a “Homework Help” lunch group for trimester 2. This group will consist of students who struggled with assignment completion during the 1st trimester. If your student is selected to be in the group, Mrs. Skover will reach out to students & family directly. This group is to get everyone off to a good start for the next trimester :)

Trimester 1 of 7th grade is in the books! Great work, everyone! Please take time next week to sit with your child and review their grades from trimester 1 and set some goals for trimester 2. Whether it’s academic, organization, attendance, or making better social choices, all goals count!!!
Minute Meetings were a GREAT success! I learned tons of fun facts about the students and look forward to future conversations that will happen as a result of these meetings.
There has been an influx of parents reaching out for tutoring information. Although RMS was unable to run the Road to Success club this year, we still have contact information for the National Honor Society tutors that are willing to help! Contact your grade level counselor for more information.

Only 2 more trimesters left for our 8th grade students at RMS!! The next 2 trimesters are pivotal because they will shape how our 8th grade students transition into the 9th grade academy. It is so important that our students complete all their assignments, ask for help when needed, and attend all of their classes regularly.
Homework Help will resume after Thanksgiving Break. This is a mandatory lunch help for any 8th grade student who is failing 2 or more classes. It is imperative that our students understand that failure is not an option. We will give them every opportunity to be successful and to provide the support they need to build confidence in all subjects.
Overall all of us at RMS are very proud of our students and the goals they have achieved in this first trimester. Specifically we are impressed with the following 8th grade students who had perfect attendance for Trimester One. These students showed dedication and perseverance throughout the trimester. We all have days that can be challenging, but these students have proven they are up to the challenge every day.
