Principal's Message
I would like to Congratulate our Mock Trial and MESA students for their performances in their competitions the last few weeks. There were several students on both teams from McNair who won or placed high in their events.
As a reminder, this is the last week in the semester. Finals will be on March 13 and March 14, with a 12:40 PM dismissal time on Thursday and Friday.
I hope everyone has a wonderful week and a wonderful Spring Break!

News from the Career Center
Last week, the California Student Aid Commission (CSAC) announced the extension of our state priority deadline to April 2, 2025. Students can complete their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or California Dream Act Application (CADAA) by April 2 for consideration for Cal Grant and the Middle Class Scholarship. Although the deadline may be extended, we do not want our students to wait to apply for financial aid. Applying for financial aid gives students access to critical information necessary to help them make decisions about where to attend college and the financial aid package they will receive—THE TIME IS NOW.
Free Cash for College Webinars
CSAC has four free webinars left before the extended deadline of April 2, 2025.
March 11, 2025 6pm-7:15pm (English with Spanish translation)
March 25, 2025 6pm-7:15pm (English with Spanish translation)
April 2, 2025 5:30pm-6:45pm (English with Spanish translation)
Students and their families can register for these webinars at https://www.csac.ca.gov/c4c <https://linkprotect.cudasvc.com/url?a=https%3a%2f%2fcsac.us3.list-manage.com%2ftrack%2fclick%3fu%3d08a80d62d56aa5d039a38570c%26id%3d5dcd0b7717%26e%3d44f752df28&c=E,1,-9IH1xG4Zs3uGwL9EHRv_5s4M6ttbpEKNY2b2W_7B3aDNZi4xoMi4f0iCBcbf9-FrB-PKiFyVHPycqmZtJWyGCKlnNhqM4STh9YSVPEF&typo=1> .
Cash for College webinars are staffed by financial aid experts who can answer questions for students and their families about how to complete FAFSA or the California Dream Act Application. The presentation will walk through both applications and cover other aspects of financial aid.
Mixed-Status Families
We have two special guides for students who are eligible for FAFSA but may have a parent or spouse who is undocumented. These documents present information to help these families make decisions about how to apply for aid given unpredictable federal policies. Guides are available in English, Spanish, and Arabic, and can be found on the following page for mixed-status families: https://www.csac.ca.gov/cadaa-msf <https://linkprotect.cudasvc.com/url?a=https%3a%2f%2fcsac.us3.list-manage.com%2ftrack%2fclick%3fu%3d08a80d62d56aa5d039a38570c%26id%3d832be6e48c%26e%3d44f752df28&c=E,1,8Z-00-5RVz2WPIWbOSriBTVGu8pO9q5nrxQhPvKu8BppIEfOuJylOIWYZb6z3soUf1wEp-fllBrXff-4i8roLncame4pnBQCh2382m6TV41jG9kr_UtRDYwx&typo=1> .

UOP & Rotary Hearing Screening Event
Lodi Sunrise Rotary Club is partnering with the University of the Pacific again this year, to provide a Free Hearing Screening Event that will be held on Saturday, March 15th at the UOP Chan Health Sciences Learning Center Audiology Department in Stockton.
90% of those in need of help are not even aware of it! They just go through life, increasing the volume of the TV and Radio, unable to learn and live life to their full potential. They become more frustrated as time goes on, disengaging themselves day-to-day all because they are experiencing hearing loss. Potential patients will be screened to determine if they are experiencing hearing loss, they will be checked for ear wax buildup or fluid in the ear, these are common reasons for hearing loss. Since the screening is being held at the UOP Audiology facility potential patients, that are determined to be in critical need, can be expedited upstairs to the Diagnostic Center testing booths that very same day! Once it has been determined that potential patients are experiencing hearing loss, the UOP Audiology Department will be vetting them for needs, ability of financial responsibility for care, and move them through the process of treatment.
The goal is to help as many people as possible. If you have any questions, contact Richard Ross at 209-327-0627 or richardr@alamoalarm.com.
