A Message From Mr. Hansel
Dear Cascade Community,
I am thrilled to share that we’ve had a fantastic first month of school! Our students have done an outstanding job adapting to the new policies and procedures, and it’s been a smooth transition thanks to their cooperation and positive attitude. I’m also settling into a great rhythm as we continue to build momentum for the school year.
We’ve had a lot of fun so far, and I’m excited to let you know that we’re actively planning even more events and activities that will bring our community together. Stay tuned for some exciting announcements, and let’s keep the energy going strong!
Thank you for your continued support.

A message about recent events
Dear Cascade High School Families,
Several of you have reached out or expressed concerns regarding vague threats to schools circulating online. I want to assure you that no verified or credible threats have been directed toward Cascade High School or any of our district schools at this time. Please know that if there were ever a credible threat, we would notify families immediately. The safety of our students is always our top priority.
The recent concerns likely stem from an image that has been widely circulated online, affecting schools across multiple states. This same image impacted Putnam County schools, which resulted in their football game being rescheduled due to low attendance. Additionally, the Mill Creek Elementary mentioned in some of these posts refers to a school in Jefferson County, Indiana—not our district.
Our School Resource Officers, including Deputy Faith and Deputy Johnson, are aware of these social media posts, and we continue to take every potential threat seriously. Each situation is thoroughly investigated, and anyone found making threats can face serious criminal charges.
Thank you for your continued support in keeping our school community safe.
Sincerely,
Jeff Hansel
