Please remember to sign and return the green I Love to Read sheet each week. Students should read at least 50 minutes each week for 6 out of the 8 weeks to earn entry to the I Love to Read Celebration.

In Reading, we are studying informational texts and focusing on identifying author's purpose and text structure (cause and effect and sequence). We have a short check for understanding each Friday that consists of a reading passage and multiple choice questions.

We will finish up learning about telling time. Students are doing very well with this topic! Our test will be March 8.

We are going to be studying all about weather over the course of the next few weeks. We will read books about weather and have a daily weather check. We will also have lots of activities as we learn about weather.

We are going to continue to study how to write informational text over the next two weeks with a variety of topics and techniques.
