POINTS FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Kindergarten Report Cards/Progress Reports will be released on Friday!

Please note that these documents will be available via your Parent Portal/Genesis account on Friday, January 31st.
I will e-blast families when they are available (i.e. usually around 4:00pm) alogn with directions on how to access
You will need your Parent Portal/Genesis username and password
Contact the following email address problem@summit.k12.nj.us if you have any problems--the Main Office or teachers won't be able to help you view them, only our tech team can assist.

January 31st and February 10, 2025 are Single Session Days. Please, please, please plan ahead for the following dismissal times:

Kindergarten Classes: 8:30am-12:00pm
Mrs. Amiel and Ms. Ciccarelli's Classes: 8:30am-12:30pm

Please save the date! Kindergarten Music 'Informances'
Please save the date for Friday, April 4th. One adult will be invited to join their child for 30 minutes of music together in the gym. These "informances" are not a traditional performance, but rather a chance for you and your child to experience music class together. Additional details and RSVP form to follow!

Welcome everyone! I am the school counselor for both JPC and Jefferson Elementary. This is my 5th year in Summit and 11th overall as a counselor. As the school counselor, my priority is ensuring that our students feel safe, happy and included when they come to school.

AROUND THE CLASSROOMS

Mrs. Amiel's Class: Students followed a visual recipe to make oobleck. Students took turns measuring out the ingredients and mixing them together. Next, they used different describing words to tell what the oobleck looked like and felt like. See photos below!

Senora Muldoon, World Language/Spanish: In World Language we finished up our unit on body parts by practicing with Mr. & Mrs. Potato head. The students had a lot of fun singing, dancing and creating! Next week we will start our family unit.
