A Note from Dr. Reynolds

LCE Families,

There were 19 schools in Sumner County that received Reward School status for the 2023-24 school year. We are proud to share that LCE was one of them! Although LCE also met the criteria in 2022-23 school year, we were a new school so we were not eligible. This year was the first year that LCE was eligible. We want to thank our teachers, staff, students and parents for this amazing honor. Below explains the criteria for the Reward School status.

Schools are recognized as a Reward School when they demonstrate high levels of performance and/or improvement in performance by meeting objectives across performance indicators and student groups, and the Reward School distinction places significant emphasis on performance and improvement across all indicators from the prior school year.

All students will be taking the Winter Aimsweb Universal Screener during the next two weeks. This is a screener that all students take three times per year. The screener will help teachers to monitor progress with grade level skills and determine the best placement for intervention, if needed. Family reports will come home in the middle of January.

Dec. 3rd- Spirit Day/Night at Sam's Sports Grill

Dec. 7th- Lights of Liberty 4-8 p.m. at LCM
Dec. 12th- 3rd grade program 6:00 p.m. families/7:45 a.m. for students

Dec. 17th- Kindergarten Field trip
Dec. 18th- STEAM Movie Day activity (pajama day)
Dec. 19th- Den celebration / Pack-a-Palooza (wear Den shirts)
Dec. 20th- Abbreviated Day Dismissal at 10:30 a.m.

All parties will be at 9:00-10:00 a.m. on the 20th (families are welcome)
DISMISSAL will be at 10:30 a.m.

Dec. 23rd- Jan. 6th School is Closed

Morning Arrival and Afternoon Dismissal

Arrival:

Please remember that all car riders are dropped off in the BACK of the building. Stay in one lane, and have students exit on right side of the car beside the sidewalk. Have students ready with their backpacks and lunch boxes.

If you arrive after 7:30 a.m., you will need to park in the front and bring your child in to the front office and sign them in.

Dismissal:

Please do not arrive on campus until 2:00 p.m. Parents may not park in the lot and wait. Remain in your car, we have staff to assist students. We encourage students to buckle independently. If they are not able yet, please pull in the parking lot to buckle them. All school zones are hands free per state law, meaning no cell phones for the safety of our students and staff.

Lunch Visitor Reminders

All lunch visitors must be in Skyward or on Emergency Card. Written note required from legal guardian if not listed.
Visitors can only eat lunch with a student once a week.
You must sit at a parent table, or outside at the picnic tables.
No outside food may be brought in (ex: fast food).
After lunch is over, please report directly back to the office. You may not go back to the classroom.
