It's been a while since I've sent a newsletter, but we've been hard at work here at MMHS focusing on academic growth and proficiency! Included in the newsletter are recent updates, reminders, and important upcoming dates as we prepare to move into the final third trimester of our school year. Also, don't forget to complete the Intent to Return Survey that was emailed directly to you from our Southside Office! This information assists us in planning for the upcoming school year.

As you may or may not be aware, we were notified of a change in the grading scale as you view them in Jumprope. "Failing" is now designated as any score below a 2.0 instead of a 2.5. In Jumprope, you may still see "red" if a scholar has below a 2.5, but that is to put scholars on notice that their grade is possibly declining towards a 2.0. The color will change to orange at a 2.5 as this indicates that scholars are close to meeting expectations and almost "in the clear". As a reminder, a score of a 3.0 indicates that a scholar is meeting grade level expectations.

Mark your calendars! Spring SLC's are being held on Thursday, March 13, 2025 from 11am-7pm and Friday, March 14, 2025 from 8am-4pm. Please be sure to schedule an in-person conference with your scholar's teacher as this is a Propel-wide expectation for scholars, families, and educators. We look forward to meeting with you to discuss your scholar's success and plans for the rest of the year.

As a reminder, a scholar will only be permitted to enter the building past 10am if they have a medical note. After 10am, scholars are marked absent for the day which is why a medical note is required.
