Message From Principal Heard
Hello Trailblazers!
At each Community Gathering, I share that we come together to celebrate good character, friendship, our community, and school pride. At today's gathering, we had the opportunity to celebrate one of our teachers who embodies this commitment to community. When Mrs. Ow received the call to help out the Rancho Bernardo High School cheer team when they found themselves without a coach, she took action. She got up at the wee hours of the morning to coach the cheer team before starting her work day at Stone Ranch.
To repay Mrs. Ow for her help, the RBHS Cheer team came to campus and welcomed our students as they entered campus and they also performed at our community gathering. They shared a beautiful message of thankfulness for the kindness offered by Mrs. Ow.
As we embark on this holiday break, I am reminded of the importance of community and spending time with one another. The Stone Ranch community is full of teachers and staff working tirelessly and selflessly to ensure the success of each and every one of our students. I am inspired by our staff and students daily.
I hope that you enjoy spending time with your community, big or small, during this holiday break. May you experience a little fun, a lot of relaxation, and come back full of stories.
Happy Holidays,
Teri Heard
Your Very Proud Principal

SCHOOL NEWS & UPDATES
New Playground Equipment!
Thank you to all of our families who joined the North County Turkey Trot. As a result of this participation, Stone Ranch will receive $500 to use towards purchasing new playground equipment. We want to hear from our students and staff about what type of equipment you want us to purchase. Parents, you can help by sharing this short survey with your students.
Also, at Friday's gathering we shared that our Student Council purchased 3 Spike Ball sets and these will be available for student use during recess and lunch after the holiday break. It's a fun time to be a Trailblazer!
Winter Concert - A huge success!
Our 5th grade band and orchestra students put on a beautiful concert on Tuesday, December 17th. It was incredible to see these students showcase their talents and inspire our younger Trailblazers to join band when it is there turn. Bravo to all of our student performers.
Drive Safely, Respect School Parking Lot Rules
Unfortunately, our Safety Patrol has reported increased levels of unsafe driving. We have parents disobeying traffic regulations, shouting at students, and causing potentially dangerous situations. Our Safety Patrol is comprised of 5th grade students. It is very difficult for them to have parents shout and ignore them. I am asking for your partnership in supporting our drop off and pick up process.
Please be our partners in ensuring safety during drop off and pick up. We simply ask you to adhere to the stop signs, pull all the way up in the bus/staff loop, and refrain from parking cars in the bus/staff loop areas. What seems like a minute for you to find your child, impacts the efficiency of the drop off/pick up process and causes potential hazards. Parents are encouraged to park in a designated parking spot if you need to get out of your car for any reason.
We appreciate your partnership in keeping our school a safe place!

Giving Tree - Important Information
Thank you to everyone who supported The Giving Tree program at Stone Ranch. We were successfully able to help 12 Stone Ranch students and their families. We hope that our community's generosity makes their holidays just a little bit merrier.
