Madonna Catholic School News
May 23, 2025
Dear Madonna Families,
As we approach the final week of May, we reflect on the Gospel reading for Sunday, May 25, from John 14:23-29. In this passage, Jesus reminds us that if we love Him, we will keep His word, and He promises to send the Holy Spirit to guide us. This message is especially meaningful as we begin planning for next year.
Just as the disciples trusted in Jesus' promise, we too can trust that God is with us in all that we do. Whether we are finishing our schoolwork, preparing for summer, or looking ahead to a new school year, we can find peace in knowing that the Holy Spirit will help us make good choices and lead us in the right direction.
Let us take time to pray and ask God to bless our school community, our teachers, and our friends. May we continue to grow in faith and love, always remembering that Jesus is with us, guiding us every step of the way. Amen.

Mrs. Fiona Wimmer, Assistant Principal

Mayor's Walk
The grade four classes were invited to participate in this year's Mayor's Walk held at Millennium Place on May 21. Students listened to Mayor Rod Frank speak to the importance of active living and how it helps your physical and emotional health. Students participated in a short run, had a snack and then were treated to a lengthy visit to the pool! Thanks to Pasta Pantry in Sherwood Park for being the major sponsor of this event!!
