Geometry-3D Shapes!
In geometry we have been learning all about shapes! We have been exploring 3D shapes by classifying them by their attributes. Cross sections of 3D shapes were explored by building with Playdough and then actually slicing them to see which 2D shape was made.
JAG (Job’s of America Graduates)Notes:
Students are continuing to work on the Driver's Education course. We continue to work on updating resumes and applying to jobs. April 24th is Spotlight Day, this gives a chance for the students to shine and tell their story on how JAG has helped them and why JAG is important to them.

Parent Organization Presidents,
As a reminder, the IRS requires all 501(c)3 groups to annually file an information return to the IRS. For calendar year organizations, this deadline is May 31. Organizations that fail to file for three consecutive years will automatically lose their tax-exempt status. For organizations with $50,000 or less in gross receipts each year, the filing is straight forward. An e-Postcard (Form 990-N) must be completed that requires the eight items listed below:
Employer Identification Number (EIN), also known as a Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN)
Tax year
Legal name and mailing address
Any other names the organization uses
Name and address of a principal officer
Web site address if the organization has one
Confirmation that the organization’s annual gross receipts are $50,000 or less
If applicable, a statement that the organization has terminated or is terminating (going out of business)
Organizations whose gross receipts are greater than $50,000 have more filing requirements which are outlined on the IRS website. Listed below are resources for completing the required information.
Information on the required filing: https://www.irs.gov/charities-non-profits/annual-electronic-filing-requirement-for-small-exempt-organizations-form-990-n-e-postcard
Information on filing deadlines: https://www.irs.gov/charities-non-profits/return-due-dates-for-exempt-organizations-annual-return
Please file to not lose your tax-exempt status as too much work and money goes into attaining this. Without tax-exempt status, donors can not deduct their contributions to your organization.
If further guidance is needed, please contact Phil Frei at 834-6510. Thank you!
