Notes From the Superintendent
Greetings,
As we enter the final days of the school year, I’d like to take a moment to reflect on some of the highlights and important upcoming events that help us close out another successful year in our district.
We recently released our Annual Report, which offers a comprehensive look at the many achievements and activities across our schools this year as well as provides details on the Fiscal Year 2026 school budget. If you haven’t had the chance to review it, I encourage you to visit rsu60.org to explore the full report.
Our Parent/Student Open Houses and Informational Sessions for students entering grades 4 through 8 in the 2025–2026 school year were extremely well attended. These evening events provided families with valuable information about academic expectations, school culture, and student support. For those who were unable to attend, building administrators have shared the presentation materials.
We are also proud to share that student engagement in athletics and enrichment opportunities continues to thrive. This year, over 830 students in grades 6 through 12 participated in athletics, with Noble offering 18 varsity-level programs and 41 sub-varsity and middle-level programs. Beyond sports, more than 60 enrichment activities were available to students, ranging from theater and Latin Honors to a wide variety of creative and academic clubs. Our goal is to ensure every student finds a place to pursue their interests and passions.
As the school year winds down, here are a few key dates to keep in mind:
June 5- Convocation
June 6- Noble High School Graduation
June 10- Last day of school for students in Kindergarten through Grade 11 (Half day)
June 10 – District Referendum Vote
Late August- First day of school for the 2025–2026 school year (More school specific information will be forthcoming)
This week, leading up to graduation, is always a special and energizing time on our high school campus. The atmosphere is filled with excitement as students take final exams, rehearse for graduation, and reflect on their accomplishments. A favorite tradition takes place this week as well—our graduating seniors will visit one of their former elementary schools to walk the halls one last time. This symbolic moment not only allows our seniors to come full circle in their educational journey, but also gives our younger students the chance to cheer them on.
Thank you for your continued support of our students, staff, and schools. Wishing everyone a safe and joyful end to the school year.
Warm regards,
Audra Beauvais
Recent Highlights
Noble High School proudly hosted the York County Special Olympic Games. We were honored to celebrate the talents and achievements of these amazing athletes! It was an incredible day filled with joy, determination, and community spirit.
Delicious strawberry milk from Smiling Hill Farm and freshly roasted local asparagus sourced from Pineland Farms. Supporting local never tasted so good!
Students in the Girls on the Run program wrapped up their program on Sunday, June 1st with a 5K race in Brunswick. This program is more than running, it builds confidence, inspires leadership, creates friendships and instills healthy habits. Congratulations to the girls that participated this year!
Hanson and Lebanon Schools celebrated their annual Day of the Arts in style! The day was filled with creativity, expression, and joyful exploration as students engaged in art and music experiences that showcased their talents and imagination. To cap off the celebration, our 5th graders wowed the audience with high-energy Junk2Funk performances by Trashcan Lid Productions- turning everyday objects into instruments and proving that music is everywhere when you know how to listen.
The Day of the Arts reminds us how essential music and visual art are in helping students build confidence, collaborate, and connect with the world around them. Bravo to all our young artists and performers, and thank you to all of the volunteers!
Hussey third graders had a blast exploring Laudholm Farm on their field trip. The visit offered a hands-on learning experience rooted in science, ecology, and conservation. Through fields, forests, and salt marshes, students loved discovering the beauty and biodiversity that make this coastal reserve so special!
Outstanding job by the Noble High School and Noble Middle School Bands at the North Berwick and Berwick Parades and Ceremonies!

ELKS 4th graders are budding entrepreneurs! Since April break, they’ve been hard at work designing their own custom shops—creating shop signs, pricing their handmade items, and preparing for their big sales event. This hands-on project gave students the chance to shop at their classmates' stores, all while strengthening their math, communication, and problem-solving skills through real-world application.
We love seeing our students make meaningful connections between classroom learning and real-life experiences!
Noble High School’s First Annual Spring Carnival was a huge success! Organized and run by the NHS Student Council, the event brought together students, families, MSAD 60 staff, clubs, and local businesses for an afternoon of fun and celebration. Every school club was invited to participate, creating a vibrant display of student-led booths, yard games, and activities. Guests enjoyed food from Bubba Fry’s, Kona Ice, Aroma Joe’s, and organic cotton candy. This new tradition was a fantastic way to showcase student leadership, build community, and celebrate the end of the school year with spirit and pride!
Over 200 students and families took part in NBES’s annual Bike to School event! With roads closed from the Mill Field to the school, riders enjoyed an escorted trip led by North Berwick Fire & Rescue and the North Berwick Police Department. It was an incredible way to kick off the day: families arrived at school to cheers from staff and fellow students as they made their way to the playground.
A big thank you to everyone who helped make this joyful tradition such a success!
Noble Middle School Receives BARR Accreditation
We are proud to share that Noble Middle School has been named one of just 12 schools across the country to receive national accreditation from the BARR Center for the 2024–2025 school year. This honor reflects our school’s strong commitment to building meaningful relationships, using data-driven practices, and ensuring that every student is known, supported, and set up for success.
More than 360,000 students nationwide have benefited from the BARR (Building Assets, Reducing Risks) model, which has been proven to positively impact school climate, academic outcomes, and teacher collaboration in over 375 schools.
This national recognition is a powerful testament to the dedication of our staff, students, and families in creating a learning environment where all students thrive.
Monthly Math Moment
Nothing strikes fear in the heart of a math student quite like the word fractions! As adults we accept that fractions are a number, but understanding that concept takes time to build. In June’s Monthly Math Moment we’ll take a look at the progression of vocabulary and concepts students go through to understand fractions as numbers before they start to add, subtract, multiply and divide them.
