We were so sad to miss everyone last week due to the severe winter weather 🥶, but we hope you stayed warm and cozy! ❄️ Now, let’s get ready to jump back into the swing of things!

This week, we’ll continue working on solo selections during class. 🎤✨ A quick reminder: ALL choir singers will have an in-class recital during the week of January 21-24. This will count as a summative grade, so make sure you're prepared! 📚🎶

This past Saturday, the TMEA Area Audition was held at the University of Texas in Arlington, and we are beyond proud of all our singers who participated! 🎤👏

UIL Region 31 Solo Contest – Important Info 🎤

The UIL Region 31 Solo Contest will be held on January 25, 2025 at Coppell High School.

All students who completed the competition sign-up Google Form in December have been officially registered. Directors will be sending out a Student Square message with additional details about the competition soon, so be sure to watch for that!

This semester is going to be packed with rehearsals, competitions, and concerts — there’s so much to look forward to! 🎤🎶 Be sure to read through the entire newsletter so you don’t miss any important details. 📅

SRF Monthly Quizzes

You will take a monthly SRF quiz at the end of every month. This will be a Performance Tasks

Grade. You only get 2 tries so be sure that your wifi connection is good and your audio sound is

on. You have the entire month to take the quiz. Every month’s quiz will be due on the LAST

FRIDAY of the month at 10PM. NO LATE SUBMISSIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

SRF Month Quiz Due dates:

SRF Practice Log

Each singer is expected to practice sight reading on SRF for 10 minutes per week (2 minutes

each day of the week) and 40 minutes per month. This will be a completion grade. SRF will

keep track of all your practice log data. We will give one Performance Tasks monthly SRF

Practice Log each month. Please be sure to practice SRF weekly. Each week will start on SUNDAY and end on SATURDAY.
