Name: Eleanor Keane
Grade: 12
Sport: Varsity Soccer
Coach: Rebecca Embree
Eleanor willingly leads drills and practices to help her teammates learn different ball skills, positional awareness and positive feedback. She was encouraging and always willing to help out on the field during a game or practice. She is involved in multiple school clubs and activities, as well as an academically strong student. She is a role model on and off the field.

Sport: Golf
Coach: Bob Jones
I nominate Drew for Athlete of the Month for East Sr. Drew has shown remarkable sportsmanship in his dedication to the sport, working with our younger developing players and showing solid leadership. He is playing some of the best golf of his career. He has brought in some of the lowest rounds of his golf career. Solidifying a place as our number 1 at the ECIC tourney last Tuesday. Drew is a solid player and a great kid and has risen to become one of our respected captains this year. He will be missed.

I nominate Abby Wesolowski for Athlete of the Month for East Sr.
Description: Abby led the way with her 4th and final season of varsity tennis. She captained this year's team and for the 2nd straight year, qualified and competed at the ECIC Singles Tournament.

Sport: Girls Volleyball
Coach: Rachel Donner
I nominate Miranda Zipp who is a senior at East Sr. for Athlete of the Month.
Miranda is a leader on and off the court. She accepts accountability and responsibility for her own mistakes and works to correct them every day. She finishes every game with stats across multiple categories and is truly an all-around player, as well as a great person and captain.

Sport: Boys Cross Country

Jon is a wonderful asset to the XC team. He is willing to learn, works hard, and is a leader to his peers. This is his second year on the team and we are so pleased with his progress as a runner. He has the passion for the sport and we look forward to his future success.

This is Paige's first year on the XC team. She is always at practice, ready to work, and puts forth great effort. It has been a pleasure having her on the team for the rest of our girls. She has really found success in the sport since the beginning of the season and we wish we had more years to work with her on XC.

Name: Ryan Hodge
Grade: 9
Sport: Boys Varsity Soccer
Coach: Brian DeGlopper
Ryan led our team in scoring this season, with 4 goals & 1 assist. He scored 2 goals, including the game winning goal in overtime against Springville. Ryan has a knack for keeping the ball on his foot in tight spaces, and has a powerful shot. Ryan plays primarily as our attacking midfielder, but has also played striker as well. He has been a nice addition to our varsity program, and I look forward to seeing what he will accomplish for us in the future.

Sport: Boys Varsity Volleyball

I nominate Ethan Skalski who is a junior at East Sr for Athlete of the Month
Ethan is having an amazing season. He leads the team in aces with 51, kills with 321 and set the school record for kills in a match with 40. As one of our captains, Ethan is a real leader and displays real sportsmanship on and off the court.

Sport: Girls Swim
Coach: Jeff Kunkel
I nominate Emily Skrzypczyk who is a junior at East Sr. for Athlete of the Month. Emily is constantly showing great sportsmanship throughout her swim season. No matter how well she is swimming she always has something nice to say about her teammates and opponents. Emily is completely dedicated to swimming and works day in and day out at becoming a better swimmer. When she is not practicing or competing at school, she continues to participate on her club team and put in the time to better herself. Emily leads by example on her team, she practices with high intensity and is constantly looking for better techniques and skills to help her drop time in her events. She is always willing to help her teammates in any aspect possible. Her positive attitude and internal drive make her a joy to coach.
