Gaga Ball Pit
Liam Scroggins, a former Blue Jay, is working on his Eagle Scout Project and has chosen to build a Gaga Ball Pit for our playground. This will be installed in the corner of the playground near the blue Buddy Bench. He will begin this summer and it should be all ready to go by the beginning of the new school year. PTG is working with Liam to gather funds. There will be three additional small 50 cent fundraisers to help with this project: Gaga Grams (like Kindness Grams) May 5th, Hat Day on May 12th, and Popsicles on May 20th. Flyers will go home on May 1st for Gaga Grams, and the rest will be sent out about 4-5 days before. We are excited and grateful for Liam to choose our school for his project!
Book Fair May 5-9
This is our BOGO for the year- for every item, you get another (of the same price or cheaper) free. This includes anything in the fair: books, pens, posters, etc.
The preview fliers will be sent home!
End-of-Year Library
This Friday, May 2nd, is the last day to check out books from the library. The last day to turn books in will be May 14th.
This week will be the last time 3rd-6th come down for their library time to check out books. Your class can shop the book fair during your normal library time next week.
We will be sending out overdue book notices once closer to that May 14th deadline. These will include notices for students to take home.
Parent Portal and Online Enrollment
Lumen registration for the 25-26 school year can be completed starting in July. If you do it before then, you will lose info once Lumen updates to the new school year. All registration for EVERY child needs to be updated (even if your info hasn't changed) every single year. There are forms we need completed prior to your child starting school in August. If you need tech support, we can make arrangements with you in August to use one of our devices to get the registration complete.
Dismissal Changes
Please call the office by 2:00 with any changes that are made to afternoon dismissal plans. We would also like to share a friendly reminder that dismissal is 2:45 and all students need to be picked up in a timely manner.
25-26 School Supply Lists and Classroom Assignments
Grade level supply lists will be posted by the end of May on our webpage, FB page, and Parent Square. Classroom assignments will be live in Parent Portal the first week of August. I will send out the back to school newsletter on August 1st and will post in Parent Square when teacher assignments are live. This happens after the Transfer Team approves transfer requests on August 4th.
Moving?
If your child will not be returning to Marthasville in August, please call the office and let Cheryl know, along with a reason (moving, homeschooling, etc). Official class lists are not sent out until August, but we need a rough draft before leaving for summer vacation. If you know of any families who have either not enrolled their child(ren) yet, or are moving to our area for next school year, have them reach out to our office as well. If you are submitting a transfer request either to or from Marthasville, OR have a child entering 4th grade for the 24-25 School Year, you must send in an updated Proof of Residency. Please do this as soon as possible so Mrs. Brueggemann can update our records.
Yearbooks
If you ordered a yearbook, they will be passed out on May 19th. I will post a notice to our FB page and Parent Square as a reminder.
We are so close to the finish line! This month is packed with events and fun activities. MAP testing is over (besides a few makeups) and FastBridge assessments will be complete by May 9th. I love seeing how much growth our students have made this year. We appreciate the ongoing support and partnership in your child's education! Our last two days of school are modified days. We dismiss at 11:50 on May 21st and 22nd. Report cards will be emailed on May 28th. Please let me know if you do not receive it!
As always, if you ever have questions or concerns, don't hesitate to reach out! You can call me, email, send a Parent Square, or message on our Facebook page. I am here to serve and lead with love and care. Have an awesome MAY everyone!

Take Me Out to the Ball Game!
Bluejay Families,
Some of you may have heard, but if you have not, our 4th,5th,6th grade Bluejay Choir is singing the National Anthem at the Cardinals Game on Saturday, June 7th! Our choir will join with Clearview and Campbellton's choir to do this. We would love to have you there to support our Bluejay singers!
Tickets are $45 and are in a pretty good spot. These tickets normally run $90+ so we are getting a great deal. This is also a fundraiser for our choir. In order to sing, we need to sell 400 tickets. Between the 4 schools we have sold around 250 tickets so far so we are well on our way. Please don't feel obligated to buy tickets. However, if you would like to join us and show your support, we would love that.
Additionally, any third grader who might be interested in choir next year is invited to join us in singing the national anthem on the field!
I am attaching an order form that will go home with your child today along with a map showing where our seats are. Deadline to order tickets is May 2nd.
Let me know if you have any questions!
Thank you for your continued support of the arts in our schools.
Mr. Logan
