Note from the Principal
Dear Grizzly Families,
Happy New Year, Grizzlies! The second semester has started wonderfully, and we’re excited about all the fun and learning ahead. Here’s a glimpse of what’s coming up:
- We’re thrilled to host a virtual author visit from Nick Bruel and kick off our 2nd Annual One Book One Glacier Peak event.
- Get ready for Donuts with Grown-ups paired with shopping at the Book Fair—a perfect combination of sweet treats and stories.
- Mid-year testing is underway, and we can’t wait to celebrate your child’s progress during student-led conferences in February.
- Our Multilingual Learners are gearing up for their annual Access testing to showcase their incredible language growth since last year.
A huge thank-you to everyone who contributed to our fundraising efforts! We’re proud to announce the installation of a new water bottle filler—a refreshing addition made possible by your support. Thanks to our monthly dinner nights out, we raised $639.09 from Chick-fil-A and $711.62 from Panda Express! Your generosity helps provide books for One Book One School, amazing assemblies, author visits, and field trips for all our students.
Thank you for being such an integral part of our Grizzly community! Here's to a fantastic semester full of learning, laughter, and growth.
Warm wishes,
Jeanna Costa
Principal
Hug & Go Lane
Grizzly parents, we need your help to keep our Hug & Go lane safe, efficient, and stress-free for everyone! 🐾
Here’s how you can help:
- Pull ALL the way up, past the stairs! This allows more cars to enter the lane and safely release students.
- Stay in your car. Parents must remain in the vehicle to keep traffic flowing smoothly.
- Be ready to roll! Have your students prepared with backpacks, coats, and anything they need to quickly exit the car when you pull up.
- Keep it moving. Once your student is out of the car, please proceed forward so others can drop off safely.
Additional Reminders:
- Use crosswalks. If you need to park and walk your student in, always use the designated crosswalks for everyone’s safety.
- Plan ahead. Arrive a few minutes earlier to avoid last-minute rushing.
- No double parking. For safety reasons, cars should not stop or unload in the passing lane.
Your cooperation ensures the safety of all our Grizzlies and helps us start the day on a positive note. Thank you for doing your part to make mornings smooth and safe!
Author Visit!
Bestselling author Nick Bruel will virtually visit Glacier Peak Elementary on Wednesday, January 22.

School information and updates
Report Cards
First semester report card grades are now available in Infinite Campus! Please log in to review your student’s progress.
If you need assistance logging into Infinite Campus, our Registrar, Stacey Townsend, is happy to help. You can reach her at 720-972-5943.
Lost and found
Brrr….. It is that time of year for jackets, hoodies, and coats. If possible, please put your students name on any of these items. This also includes lunch boxes and water bottles. When students go outside for recess these items get left behind and are put into lost & found. We would like all items to be returned to their owners. Thank you for your help with this.
Family Survey
Attention Glacier Peak families: this year’s Panorama Family Survey window is January 23 - February 14, 2025.
Please visit www.adams12.org/familysurvey and take 10-15 minutes to give us your feedback. We review all responses very carefully and make schoolwide strategic plans based on results.
Tabs = Treatment
Tap Into Kindness: Collect Tabs for a Cause!
Join us in a yearlong effort to support children in need! Collect tin can tabs at home and bring them to school anytime. Every gallon jug we fill provides a free treatment for a child at Children's Hospital. Collection containers are available near the front door and in the cafeteria. Let’s see how much kindness we can gather this year!
King Soopers/City Market Rewards Program
Please encourage friends and family from far and wide to put Glacier Peak Elementary as their King Soopers/CityMarket group.
Easy way to help us raise money! Help raise thousands of dollars just by shopping for the things you were already going to buy. If you shop at King Soopers or City Market link your account to Glacier Peak Elementary Community Rewards program.
This program makes fundraising easy by donating to local organizations, like GPE, based on the shopping you do every day.
All you need to do is link your King Soopers Shopper's Card. When you put in your number when checking out, the school gets money from Kroger.
All you have to do is shop!
https://www.kingsoopers.com/i/community/community-rewards
Share this with family and friends across the country. It works at ANY King Soopers or City Market in the USA
We have a No Cell Phone Policy here at Glacier Peak
Cell Phones need to be powered off and kept in backpacks.
