Welcome to the 2021-2022 School Year to our Zachry MS Comprehensive and our Zachry Magnet School Families!

If you have driven by the school lately you are seeing the great beginnings of our new building as the old main entrance, admin offices and many classrooms are removed to make way for our new Magnet School Classrooms, Administrative offices and Security Entrance. The target for construction on this first phase of the Zachry Master Plan is August 2022! You are also seeing the arrival of 12 new classrooms in the 6 portable buildings that have arrived and are being set up. We will also be having our footbal field and stands moved and updated and this construction should be starting any day! Lots of excitement!

Monday, August 2nd we will have students returning to campus for our Band, Orchestra, Choir and Theater Fine Arts Camps. Also our Strength and Conditioning camp will be starting up again. Students will need to be dropped off at the E hallway/Athletic entrance off of Cliff Brier for all camps. Directors and our coaches should be sending you and your student more information. August 11th - Prep Day (this will be our first time to do a Prep day instead of an Open House so that students can get their supplies, chomebooks and schedules early)

August 16th-20th - Teachers and Staff will be in professional development and preparing for the 2021-2022 school year.

August 23rd - First day of School - The first bell will ring at 8:35 am. School dismisses at 4:10 pm each day.

September 2nd - Meet the Teacher Night. More information to come!

We are waiting on updates for Covid-19 guidelines but students may wear masks if they so choose at this time. We will continue to use the great personal hygene and safety practices we developed last year. There is not a health screener requirement to fill out at this time.

As we get updates I will be sharing with you all.

Our offices for the next year will be in the F100 hallway which is the first entrance on Timber Path. Office hours are 8-4:30 Mondays - Fridays. Please call if we can help in any way!

Students will be able to get their schedules, purchase PE uniforms, checkout their Chromebook, pick up Athletic Uniforms, drop off immunization records, get bus information, join our Zachry PTSA ($5), get some supplies, pick up the 2020-21 Yearbooks, and learn about clubs/organizations.

Sign up for P-EBT benefits beginning June 2

Pandemic Electronic Benefits Transfer (P-EBT) is a one-time benefit for families who have lost access to free or reduced-price meals because of closures related to COVID-19. The application for P-EBT will open June 2 and close Aug. 13. P-EBT works the same way the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits do and will help families get the food they need during the current pandemic.
