Students will have two weeks off from school over Winter Break, which runs from Monday, December 23 through Friday, January 3, 2025. While staff will have professional development days on Thursday, January 2 and Friday, January 3, 2025, all schools will reopen for students on Monday, January 6, 2025.

January 10, 2025 is the deadline for the 2025 Conservation Poster Contest using the theme “Home is Where the Habitat Is.” This contest is open to all K-12 students in Washington County. Entries should be turned in at the County Land Conservation Office of Washington County in West Bend. Contact Stephanie at 262-335-4804 or stephanie.egner@washcowisco.gov for more information. Both the East High School and West High School websites now feature the materials for the many local scholarships available to high school seniors for post-secondary education. Students and families can access a guide, checklist, applications, and much more. Contact Amy Barnes in the Career Readiness Center at 262-306-4637 with questions. In addition, College Goal Wisconsin, which provides free information and assistance to families completing the federal FAFSA form for student loans, is offering both in-person and virtual FAFSA Completion Events starting in January 2025. The West Bend High Schools are hosting a College Goal Wisconsin session on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. in the West cafeteria. To register for a FAFSA Completion Event or to request additional information, please refer to collegegoalwi.org.

The Spring Election on April 1, 2025 will include an election for two seats on the West Bend School Board. If a primary is required, it is held on February 18, 2025. If interested in running to be a member of the West Bend School Board, a Campaign Registration Statement and a Declaration of Candidacy must be filed no later than 5:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025 in the office of the school district clerk at the Education Service Center, 735 S.
