We keep the kids inside for recess if there is a wind chill below 0. Please send your children prepared to go outside.

Many of us buy our kids' winter gear at the same stores; therefore lots of boots, jackets, hats, & gloves look exactly alike. Please write your child's name in their snow gear.

In order to streamline communication from Johnson School Bus to families regarding route interruptions, we've created two Remind “classes” that you can join: Elementary School Routes and PHS/Riverview MS Routes. Going forward, all bus route notifications will be sent via Remind only.

Anyone can join one or both classes. Once you join, you will receive notifications or texts any time Johnson School Bus sends a message to that class.

Click here for instructions on how to install the Remind app on your smartphone to get push notifications, as well as instructions on how to sign up for text notifications if you prefer not to use the app.

Any weather-related school closings, delays, cancellations, etc., will be posted on our Cancellations webpage. If you would like to receive a text message, please sign up for Skylerts.

All sorts of accidents happen in elementary school. Please be sure that your child has fresh pants, shirt, socks, and underwear available for them at school if needed.

Need more Panthers apparel? The PHS Business Education Dept. has launched a new online spirit wear store called the Panther Pro Shop.

Community Ed & Rec will offer 60 opportunities for all ages this winter, including 16 new offerings! Registration is now open via the MyRec system. Classes begin the week of Jan. 6.

All families should keep the following current in Skyward Family Access, as that is the primary way the district and schools communicate important information:

• Email address: For most communications from teachers, schools, and district

• Mobile phone number: For urgent text messages (instructions for signing up for text alerts via Skylert)

My name is Nick O'Malley. I was born and raised in Plymouth, and benefitted personally from attending Plymouth Schools. Now my children attend Plymouth Schools, and I am grateful to be part of the administrative team that leads the district.
