7B VOLUNTEERS AT PROJECT 150
7B worked HARD today at Project 150! Lots of organizing and restocking to get ready for the kids today. We have been donating our time for a month now and I couldn’t be more proud of our students impact on our community. Thank you for the volunteers, teachers and administration for making this project a reality.
Project 150 started at Rancho high school when 150 students went on the news saying they didn’t have their basic needs met. The founders of project 150 saw those students, and started this wonderful organization that now helps over 7000 students in our community. If you have a donation consider dropping it off here!
It is a testament to our Viatorian community that we are living out what we are taught, and I can’t wait to see where that leads our students in the future!

ROCK YOUR SOCKS ON MARCH 21 FOR WORLD DOWN SYNDROME DAY
Thursday, March 21st is World Down Syndrome Day. St. Viator School will be celebrating this special day by wearing mismatched socks.
Join people all over the world and wear mismatched socks to celebrate
WORLD DOWN SYNDROME DAY!
Socks may be different in pattern or color, but can still be worn together quite happily if we change our attitudes about having to wear matching socks!
Wearing mismatched socks reminds us to celebrate the things that make us each unique!
In addition to wearing mismatched socks, students, faculty and staff will decorate a paper sock. All socks will be strung in the loop to show our support for our students (current and alumni) with Down Syndrome. We hope you enjoy our art display!
Students and staff are also encouraged to wear their Down Syndrome bracelet if they still have them from previous years.
Please email asligar@stviator.org if you have any questions.
RE-REGISTRATION FOR CURRENT SVS FAMILIES HAS ENDED!
All families should have received their re-registration paperwork for the 2024-2025 school year in early February. RE-REGISTRATION FORMS WERE DUE BY FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 23, 2024. If your family plans to come back to St. Viator next year, and you have not notified the school, please notify the school immediately as student seats are not guaranteed. There are applications from new families arriving and Dr. Kiss would like to plan for all of our current families who wish to remain at our school.
NEW STUDENT TESTING FOR SIBLINGS OF CURRENT SVS STUDENTS.

If you are a current SVS parent with another child who you would like to have begin as a St. Viator student in the 24-25 school year, your child will need to be tested. Please contact the school office at 702-732-4477 to set up a testing appointment for that child.

NO RUNNING DOWN THE SIDE WALK
Parents and students we need your cooperation as we remind families to walk safely as they exit the school. There is to be no running down the sidewalk or along the dirt. Parents please make your children walk with you and do not let them run. Our goal is to keep all of our students safe!
STAFF PARKING LOT CONCERNS
The Staff Parking Lot off Eastern Ave is assigned for staff parking, assigned foundation parking, handicapped parking, and school visitor parking only!! This lot is not for student drop off and/or pick up. Parents and Visitors are STILL parking in Foundation Spots. We have resorted to placing cones in those spots to keep these spaces reserved for the intended families. The Foundation spaces are purchased annually and no one else is able to park in these spaces for any reason. This includes: dropping off a student, dropping off a lunch, picking up a sick student from the office, or any other reason.
The Staff Parking Lot off Eastern Ave is assigned for staff parking, assigned foundation parking, handicapped parking, and school visitor parking only!! This lot is not for student drop off and/or pick up. Please do not use this lot because it is closer, or that you do not want to use the loop, or that you do not want to use the church lot. We have had numerous traffic jams due to people using this lot when they should not be. We are also receiving complaints from those individuals who are authorized to use those spots as well as delivery drivers who are authorized to use the loading zone.

VIATOR PARISH TUITION RATE REMINDER
The most significant criteria to qualify for the Viator Parish rate is regular attendance at Sunday Mass using your envelopes.
In order to qualify for the Viator rate you MUST:
- Attend a minimum of 26 masses (Saturday or Sunday)
- Use the envelopes sent to you from the church
- Forgot your envelope? Remember your parish number and use a blank envelope provided at mass.
DO NOT
- Mail in your envelopes to St. Viator church. These will not be counted.
- Drop off your envelope in the church on a school mass day.
- Forgetting the envelope and telling the church or school you went.
Tuition review will happen end of November and you should have 13 or more masses by this time. All rates will be reviewed and possibly adjusted after the assessment. If your rate is adjusted it will be reflected on the December statement. Please DO NOT call or email the school office or church office to ask if changes are being made until after the receipt of your statement.
Remember, parents are a model of faith for their children and when families join us on a regular basis they are showing their children the priority faith and church has in their lives.
