Straight from the Hardt
Hello Ridgeline Families- I’m excited to be wrapping up a very busy homecoming week! At the time of writing this, we’re still looking forward to a BIG Homecoming football game and exciting half-time events tonight. Followed by the dance on Saturday, 7-10pm. A quick reminder about school dances—we welcome and encourage all of our students to attend. Even for those that don’t dance, it’s still fun to hang out with your friends at an evening school event, in a place that is very familiar, yet you’re experiencing something very different from the regularly daily school routine! We reserve the right to prohibit entrance or excuse students from the dance for any activities or behaviors that are inappropriate for the school setting. Please give your child a good parent pep-talk/reminder as you send them out the door!
We’re about a week away from our first academic progress check of the year. We don’t send those out by regular mail, so you’ll want to check Powerschool and look for any areas of concern.
I know students are deep into their academic studies and the demand for their attention and effort is at a high level. I know this because in my adjusted work routine this year, I have been dedicating much more time weekly in academic classrooms. I spent some time evaluating my role this summer and reflecting on the question, “what is my job?”. And what are the paramount duties that need to have high priority? The answer is instruction. What happens daily in every classroom is the most important work happening in our school. Obviously! However, there are dozens of “things” that come my way every day that yearn to pull my attention from my priority of working with my teachers. An important support that I’ve built into my routine is leveraging the high level skills of my head secretary, Molly Adams. She is assisting with the technical aspects of my work such as calendar, email, phone, meeting requests, etc… The power in this structure is allowing me to honor my commitments already scheduled, and not be pulled away every time someone needs something. She also helps determine the “immediacy” of requests for my time. All of this to focus on the goal of high level of success for all students and proudly walking across the stage at graduation!
My profile pic today was fun as the leadership students have been busy prepping for activities and games this week. Zoom in on the cool HOCO football game poster created by our very own Ridgeline senior football player, Patrick Rodgers! He’s holding up one corner—awesome school spirit!
If you’re coming to the football game tonight, wear BLACK!
Today’s Falcon Flyer is jam-packed with important information. There are many coming events, including ones for parents to get involved, and many more opportunities for student involvement.
Thank you for your continued support!
Make it a great weekend, GO FALCONS! –Mr. Hardt

Ridgeline High School’s FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) chapter held its first meeting of the school year with a tremendous turnout on Thursday. Students gathered during both lunches to kick off what promises to be an exciting and successful year for the chapter.
The meeting was led by the dedicated officer team, who outlined our upcoming Fall Conference on Oct. 17th, Scarywood on October 24th, and discussed and demonstrated how members can choose their competitive events for the FBLA NE Regionals Conference taking place in February in Spokane. Their leadership and enthusiasm set the tone for what is shaping up to be a fun year filled with opportunities for personal and professional growth for our Ridgeline FBLA Chapter members.
With a packed calendar of social events, workshops, competitions, and community service initiatives, Ridgeline FBLA is gearing up to provide its members with valuable experiences in leadership, teamwork, and business skills.
Stay tuned for more updates and opportunities to get involved!
We'd also like to remind our members to sign up for the Oct. Fall Conference in the form in the FBLA Google Classroom by Oct. 11th, and pay your $30 annual membership dues and $48 Scarywood ticket fee (if signed up) to the Business Office by October 9th.
