Eagle Lake Lookout
November 6, 2024
Thank You Teachers and Parents!
Over the last few days, it has been a joy to see all of the families coming in and meeting with our incredible teachers to discuss your children's progress thus far in the school year. It is truly a powerful thing when we all work together to help our Eagle Lake Students be the absolute best that they can be. I want to extend a huge thank you to parents for taking time out of their busy schedules to come in and make it a priority to discuss your child with their teacher. Last but not least I am incredibly grateful for our outstanding teachers for all that they do and appreciate how intentional they were in spending time with families over the last few days. Go Eddies!

Book Nook
Multiage and third-grade students continue learning about shipwrecks on the Great Lakes. Did you know that Michigan had the first freshwater National Marine Sanctuary? You can learn more at Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary.
Second graders are beginning a unit on birds. This week we went outside and used our five senses to observe the area around our school. When we were using our sense of sight, we got to use binoculars to help us view things that were too far away to see with our eyes.

Dress for the Weather
We are in the fun season of Michigan weather where the temperatures fluctuate greatly day by day and even hour to hour! Please help us by ensuring your student comes to school prepared to go outside every day for recess. Even if it means leaving a jacket in their locker so they always have one handy would be a great idea!
