Northern Boys Varsity Basketball and Wellsville Triumph
Thank you to all the families who came out to cheer on our Northern Boys Varsity Basketball Team. They needed our support with a nail biter of a game, coming down to the last 10 seconds. Northern was victorious and so was Wellsville Elementary. We were the most charitable in helping to stock the shelves for New Hope and our cheering on was point as the Trophy is coming back home to our building.
The best part of the night was seeing our children and families coming together to have a great night.
Pep Band
Our elementary students have come together to create a pep band. They are able to practice their skills, spread cheer, and support our high school basketball team. WAY TO GO!

Snow Day Information
Virtual - Flexible Instruction Days
The completion of these packets will serve as instructional attendance for Snow Day 2-5.
We have had Snow Day 2 on January 8 and used Packet A (Thank you to all our families and students for working so hard to complete these packets. You did great work!)
Future Snow Days:
Packet B - already sent home on November 22
Packet C and D are being sent home today, January 17.
Please place them in a location that makes sense for you. Because it's only mid-January we do feel we may need them. As we encounter winter weather and potential closures in the future, we will continue to stay in communication with families through each step of the way.
One District One Book
Our Elementary One District One Book is an exciting initiative that aims to promote literacy and love for reading among elementary school students. In this program, all elementary students in the district are encouraged to read the same book at the same time, creating a sense of community and shared experience. The selected book is carefully chosen to be age appropriate and engaging, capturing the interest of young readers. Throughout the program, students participate in various activities and discussions related to the book, fostering criterial thinking and comprehension skills. This initiative not only enhances reading skills but also encourage a lifelong love for books and learning. Our Northern York County Elementary Schools One District One Book is a wonderful opportunity for students to come together, explore new worlds, and develop a deeper appreciation for the power of literature.
On January 31, each family will receive a copy of our super secret book. If you have siblings in the building it will go to the oldest sibling. These books were purchased compliments of our amazing PTO. Thank you! Our children will also receive a letter and a reading calendar on January 31 so you can read with your child(ren) each night. Students will have an opportunity to earn prizes with trivia each day and we will complete our book by the end of February. We hope you enjoy the book as much as we do!
Message of our School Counselor
Hello Wellsville Families,
I will be taking a leave of absence for several weeks due to a family health issue. I am planning to return in mid-March. During the time I am away, I will not be responding to phone messages or emails. If you have any concerns while I am away, please contact Mrs. Vazquez or your child’s teacher. They will do their best to help you, or they will contact another elementary counselor in the district if necessary. Classroom counseling lessons will continue each month via videos that I have made.
I hope you have a wonderful winter, and I will see you in the spring.
Sincerely,
Mrs. O’Toole
Message from Mrs. V.
I will be taking on some of the responsibilities that Mrs. O'Toole had. I will be visiting and checking with students. Our teachers will continue to support our students in class as well. If you do need something or have concerns, please reach out so we can support.
