Dear Families of the Bay
As we reflect on the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., we are reminded of the importance of coming together as a community to support and uplift one another. Dr. King’s vision of unity and equality encourages us to continue building a school environment where every student feels valued and supported.
Dr. King once said, “We may have all come on different ships, but we’re in the same boat now.” This reminds us how important it is to work together—families, educators, and students—to create a culture of kindness, respect, and belonging.
This week, as we honor Dr. King’s legacy, let’s encourage our students to support one another, dream big, and celebrate the strength we find in unity. Thank you for being a vital part of our school community and for the role you play in helping all our students thrive.

Reinforcing Expectations to Support Student Success
As we continue to focus on providing the best learning environment for all students, we want to reinforce some important policies and expectations that support safety, focus, and personal growth at school.
Backpacks and Technology
Backpacks should remain in lockers during the school day. This helps maintain a safe and organized environment in classrooms and hallways.
Technology and Devices: Cell phones, earbuds, and other personal devices should also stay in lockers. Our goal is to minimize distractions and ensure students remain engaged in learning.
Attendance and Punctuality
Regular attendance and being on time are essential for academic success and personal accountability. Please encourage your students to be in school and in class on time every day.
Truancy: Missing school without a valid reason disrupts learning. We are committed to working with families to address any concerns and improve attendance.
Raising the Bar
This year, we are focused on raising the bar for students’ behavior and engagement to create an environment where learning, growing, and meaningful experiences take center stage. We are asking for your support in helping students meet these expectations, reinforcing the values of respect, responsibility, and perseverance.
Thank you for partnering with us to ensure a positive and productive school experience for every student. Together, we can help them thrive and achieve their fullest potential.
If you have any questions or need further clarification, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
